Really lovely, simple, fresh food! Don't be put off by the appearance on the outside, or be suspicious at how cheap it is. Once inside, it's very cosy and relaxed. The service is excellent, especially as the owner actually knows everything about the dishes he makes. And more importantly, the food is very, very yummy! All the food is home made from fresh ingredients, there's a selection of about 6 dishes per course, including a starter and main of the day. Most of the dishes are traditionally French, however there are other little influences too. Would highly recommend this restaurant for any lovers of real food! It's a little gem! :) :)

Superb French food at very reasonable prices. Fresh ingredients. So good I went two days in a row. A real treat to find such a quality restaurant in Eastbourne.

Quirky seventies-feel pub, somewhat down at heel but that's part of its charm. Took me back to my youth... Atmospheric and with good music, played not too loud. Friendly bar staff. I'll go again. Definitely one on its own. So much better than the Buccaneer across the road

The atmosphere on a Friday & Saturday night is great, really good to celebrate a Birthday. Food & Service fantastic.

First time here last week but will definitely be back. Good service, great food at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately I cannot write a recommendation due to a meal that my partner and I took at the restaurant last Saturday. The meal was destroyed by an inconsiderate couple whom had a child with them that screamed on and off for over an hour resulting in my leaving the restaurant not without reminstrating with the ignorant couple whom permitted such bad behaviour. The restaurant did nothing about this and apparently on a previous Saturday evening at around 9 pm a child performed a similar act ruining the meals of all the diners in the restaurant. I shall not return until the restaurant change their policy of welcoming badly behaved children and doing nothing about it. Unfortunately I love the restaurant and the staff and the food. However, I will not return until signs are placed welcoming well behaved children and asking parents to control their children or be asked to leave. These parents were off the wall very ignorant and rude. I hope I do not see them again. I would have visited the restaurant on at least three other occasions over the weekend, but after this appalling experience I will not be returning unless something is done about ignorant parents and unruley children.

Not the best pasta in eastbourne. Try simply italian for that !!

it is the best restaurant I've been during my visit in Europe. Real Argentinian meat, cooked on real wood charcoal and served with love.

When I wasn't laughing at the bunch of inbreds all around the pub, I was trying to cut through the "Yorkshire puddings" with an industrial strength chainsaw. No luck. The meat was like leather. The roast potatoes were still frozen on the inside and tasteless. I am still convinced that the gravy was dish water from the bar and we were served by someone who was blessed with an extra large portion of gums at birth!!

Much better than anticipated. I am vegetarian and really enjoyed the food - they even serve vegetarian gravy! My non-veggie friends loved the carvery too. The over-familiar waiter spoiled it for me but I suppose he is used to serving OAPs (there were many pensioners when I was there) who are supposed to like that kind of thing.

A fabulous restaurant. Food is very well presented and the taste is exceptional. Good service and varied menu. Will I go again - YES!!! - every time I am in Eastbourne
