Ancient Grains – EastbourneAmazing Sardinian food. This really was a brilliant meal from start to finish, great service and a fantastic experience overall. I can't wait to come back
Ancient Grains – EastbourneWe booked for Sunday roast and had the sausage, the day special (panada) and the porchetta. Everything was delicious, well seasoned and very tasty. The pork meat was really tender. The vegetables and potatoes were also super tasty. We had some Vermentino wine with the meal and it was extremely refreshing. Carla was a friendly and thoughtful host. I would definitely recommend Ancient Grain for a meal.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneEverything was amazing: food, service, atmosphere. The location of the restaurant is also perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Good Grub – EastbourneWent for a Sunday lunch , lovely choice of roasts to choose from as well as the normal menu . Food freshly cooked , tasted delicious and nicely presented. Friendly atmosphere, very relaxed , a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneA little gem in Eastbourne: the food is lovely and the ambiance perfect. Sardinian dishes, Polpetto, Calamari and a meat grill were cooked fresh and to perfection. Carla was very helpful when pre-ordering (which I'd recommend) and a welcoming host.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneSimply the best food I’ve had in Eastbourne. Fresh, authentic and delicious Sardinian ingredients combined to create unforgettable dishes by chef Davide and served by his lovely wife Carla. The restaurant is cozy and eclectic, nestled in the heart of Meads village. I recently took my well travelled octogenarian parents who both agreed it was among the best Italian food they’d ever enjoyed anywhere in the world. Bravo! And see you again soon! ;)
Ancient Grains – EastbourneThe food was so delicious
The Good Grub – EastbourneI love this restaurant !! Brilliant to be able to go to a vegan restaurant and know I can eat anything on the menu. The food is fresh and tastey. The staff are very friendly and polite and I highly recommend a visit

The Good Grub – EastbourneDelicious home made Sicilian food. I'd not tasted anything like it before. Beautifully presented but with a homemade feel. Lovely staff. Warm and interesting atmosphere and venue. Will definitely be back. Thank you Jackie
Ancient Grains – EastbourneLovely vegan restaurant with super attentive staff and beautiful food, toasties the winner of the dishes we had so highly recommended. Best coffee/mochas around too! I’d say the mozzarella sticks were a bit pricey for the portion, however the small plates we felt were generous so win win. Definitely be back again
The Good Grub – EastbourneExcellent freshly cooked food. Many vegetarian or vegan options available.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneLovely quirky intimate restaurant. Food was fabulous & I'm not vegan or vegetarian. Slight issue that we had our drinks served at the same time/before our dinner.. we ordered & food it was almost instantaneously there.. if out for an evening I do prefer to order food and have a few minutes chat/have my drink arrive at least for a few minutes before my meal arrives & certainly think drinks should be served before dinner arrives. Banoffee pie was awesome! .. even if you don’t need it go to the toilet! I had falafel dish & it was AWESOME.. staff lovely too. Unexpectedly had a dog next to us so do be warned they are dog friendly .. it does say this .. happily it was a friendly dog who ate its veggie sausages & sat quietly .. but it IS a small restaurant so go expecting that. Lovely meal, lovely staff, good value for money .. deffo would go again.
