Excellent atmosphere, lovely staff! Truffled fries is amazing!

It was amazing food and incredible service. After looking for a brunch place/ pub that had vegan options I am happy to say that the Bonnington Leith is now our spot. Our server was super kind and attentive and even went out of his way to make me a lovely iced latte! I cannot wait to come back.

Really amazing food and service. Just about tried everything on the menu now. Live local to it so in there all the time. Never been disappointed, would highly recommend. Really cool bar and atmosphere too

Was at your restaurant on Friday, the staff were all lovely myself and my two guests visit different restaurants once a week were not impressed, myself and my mum had the pork dish, my mum could not cut the pork and had to ask for a steak knife to cut the meat, she asked me to do it for her as she could not cut the meat, the kale was very hard to chew, we are all very disappointed with the food also wanted sweet eaton mess got told there was none left

Service was not great young lad just couldn't be arsed forgot all about us waited 20 mins on desert served a hot glass straight out the washer for a cold beer ,food could have been hotter .

We booked this lunch weeks ago, there were fifteen of us, having just been at a family internment at the local cemetery. We arrived a bit early but once we had settled down, we were handed out menus. When we were asked what we wanted , it appeared that neither steak pie nor chicken supreme were available, despite being on the menu, so those who had ordered it had to make do with fish and chips. Surely that should have been checked before the menus were handed out? One of our guests ordered a chicken burger without the bun but apparently the chicken was stringy and not at all tasty. However, she ate it as she did not want to make a fuss considering we had just been at an emotional service at the cemetery.

Food disappointing The Portion size was woefully small for the price,even children would be looking for more on their plate. Staff not the friendliest Will definitely not be returning!!

Lovely place for a quiet meal with friends. Food is tasty, shame there wasn't a real Sticky Toffee pudding.

Took family from out of town and it was an enjoyable experience.

Superb food all 4 enjoyed a great night and the service was excellent. We are going for dinner again next month. 10/10

Good food well priced although service a bit slow

I don't usually write reviews however I also don't usually have such a poor experience. I felt it needed to be recorded and hopefully they will take on board our comments and strive to do better. We arrived on Mothers day on time. Our table was ready and we were seated. We ordered and waited, and waited, and waited. My mum was the first to comment that we had been waiting a while which we initially dismissed. One by one our party of 4 adults and 2 children felt we had waited a long time. The resaurant was busy but not every table was taken and there appeared to be staff mulling about. Once our meal arrived we were told the 2nd childs macaroni cheese was 'just coming' then we were told 'it would be a couple of minutes' then 15 minutes later we asked where it was. It was a simple kids macaroni cheese and chips. I really feel what should have happened was he should have been offered something, anything at this point so he could eat with us. We then ordered two puddings for the kids and we waited, and waited and waited. An hour and forty five minutes since we sat saown had passed and we had only eaten our mains. After another 15 minutes my mother had to leave. We cancelled the deserts and asked for the bill. The wrong bill was given to us so we had to wait again whilst the correct bill was produced. We left two hours after having sat down and all we had managed to have was a main course. Personally I don't think it was or is good enough. I've decided not to dwell on the portion size of the lamb or pork which my sister and I had. All I will say is we had to have something to eat when we left. Poor value for money. Nouvelle cuisine nicely presented but missing the food.

Arrived and was told we could not order any chicken burgers or anything that contained chicken as they had none left, which was literally half the menu cut out. It gave me the choice of basically nothing as I do not eat fish, and did not like the remaining items left on the menu. I therefore had to order a starter and add chips to make it as a makeshift main course… the kitchen staff completely messed that up to and cooked 2 starters with 2 portions of chips which was brought out without being ordered and we were also charged for it, even though it wasn’t eaten because it wasn’t ordered! A big group of 12 then came in for an elderly ladies birthday to which 95% of them were served CHICKEN! As a customer to be told I cannot order something as there is none left, to then have to make up my own main meal with a side and skimpy starter dish, to then see multiple orders of the exact food I wanted come out and be served to another table that comes in 45 minutes AFTER me is an absolute disgrace. Moving onto desert… the waitress tried to tell me that they also didn’t have that desert anymore and I argued and said “it’s written on the board” so you’re own staff don’t even know the menu… Another person at my table ordered the Eton mess that came out with no meringue, so instead it was a half empty glass of cream and strawberries… what’s that all about? Most pathetic dinner service I’ve ever had to be honest.

Ate here on the 12th March so disappointed waited half an hour on our food the table next to us ordered after us but. got their food before us when we asked the waitress why she said because we were having steak it takes longer which in my opinion is utter rubbish a medium rare steak does not take long to cook don’t think I’ll be booking again

Food was excellent, good size portions. Staff very friendly. Will definitely be back.

All five of us greatly enjoyed the main courses we had. Three had desserts and one cheeseboard then tea & coffee. Again very good.
