Hi myself my Wife came with my Grandson & his Fiance to your Restaurant on Sunday 23rd November. We we're greated by nice friendly staff & show to our table. The service was very good, however,the 1st thing my Wife noticed that it was cold in the room. We ordered our food,which arrived quite quickly. So happy with the service. My Wife ordered Fish & Chips, & said that the fish was very dry & the batter was like cardboard. We didn't complain as it's not what we do. But would just like to bring it to your attention. We used to visit your Restaurant quite a lot. When we lived in Ellesmere port,but now we've moved further away, haven't visited in quite a while,so we're really disappointed with the meal that my Wife couldn't eat. A very pleasant evening. Comfortable and welcoming ambience, a varied menu and excellent food and service.

The meal was excellent, very well cooked and delicious. The staff were very friendly and polite .

Visited on Saturday evening. Food and service was fabulous Hunters Chicken and fish and chips very tasty. Restaurant very quiet so no atmosphere sadly.

Four of us dined here on Saturday evening 4th October 2025. The menu was varied with some usual pub food such as fish & chips/Hunters Chicken. What we ordered was tasty. For a Saturday evening the main dining area wasn't busy at all which affected the overall atmosphere. It was a cold & very rainy evening, and it was also quite cold inside the pub. One of our number uses a walking frame, and to get from the main car park into the pub was very difficult and a lengthy process. I think the owners may benefit from providing some car spaces directly adjacent to the pub for blue badge holders/disabled people. Because of the lack of such facilities our group cannot return with this person.

Food was excellent good value very tasty. Staff were very friendly.

Really nice Sunday roast meal. Starters were of good quality and service was good too. Pleasant atmosphere and a homely feel to the place. Would definitely return again.

Lovely food cooked to perfection, staff were very accommodating and helpful. Shame we live too far away to return.

Always enjoy our Sunday lunch here. Now under new ownership- still great food and friendly new staff.

My wife had hunters chicken, I think she got the hunter not the chicken, so tough, she had to ask for the peas that were supposed to be with meal. I had well done 14oz steak, it was well & truly overdone, so, so dry, no moisture at all, and the chips were disgusting, ridiculously dry, bother meals were well below the standard we've enjoyed at the yeoman for a number of years, I always thought of it as pub attached to a restaurant staffed by good chefs. But now it is just a pub serving more or less over priced bar food, prepared in the kitchen by a total amateur. On the plus side the staff & drinks were very nice. Please please get your act together, we won't be coming again for a long time. Very sad.

Service was great but that's all I would rather go to a soup kitchen then eat here again for £60 the food was disgusting hunters chicken wrapped in bacon fat not bacon belly pork all grisly and the beef and ale pie was vile left the feeling very disappointed and will not return so avoid avoid avoid

Amazing Sunday lunch and top service!

Sunday roast was very tasty with good portion sizes and great value for money.

Unfortunately we were unable to try the food here as despite using the online booking system and having confirmation on my phone, they did not have our booking in the written book. They did say sorry and offer us the option to sit in the bar and wait but would not have been able to serve us for food for another hour. This was a real shame as we were out for Sunday lunch for my mums birthday and by that time, everywhere would have been booked up so we just went home. I don't recommend using the online booking system if you want to visit here.

We went for Sunday lunch , it was absolutely beautiful and a lovely atmosphere, we will certainly be returning soon, staff friendly , thank you for a lovely Sunday

Went for a roast and my companions , one had chicken which was great , the other vegetarian and had vegetarian sausages as an alternative to meat , not what you’d expect on a roast and I had beef which was tough and disappointing. However, the veg were well cooked , plentiful and the roast potatoes were fabulous!
