Lovely Sunday Roast chicken

As per usual on a very busy Sunday morning the service was excellent with polite members of staff. The food was up to its highest standards and quite swift even though it was busy. A very pleasant morning. Thanks.

Always a hit for me and my friends. This is our regular ‘go to’ for brunch. Lovely staff and great food. I’ve even had their afternoon tea as a birthday gift which I can highly recommend!

The staff are very nice , the food is OK It is all about value for money I do not mind paying extra for good quality food and portions to match I have been a regular for a number of years and I feel that the food portions have been shrinking but the price has been increasing From a Buda bowel to the latest Chicken Caesar salad with three lettuce leaves although large .. sliced potatoes that didn’t make the grade to one full one … no boiled egg as advertised and the skinny fries were cold Disappointing

This place never fails to please. Their Buddha bowl is both generous and gorgeous and the quiche my friend enjoyed was apparently lovely as always too. Fresh food, prepared onsite with a wonderfully varied menu that should please everyone. The staff are as lovely as the food and surroundings so it’s no surprise that it’s safest to book. I have no hesitation in giving everything here a 5/5.

Lunch visit with a friend. Great interesting seasonal menu that suits all tastes and appetites . Both of us chose one of the specials which were delicious. Friendly efficient service. Perfect for a bit of shopping too !

Another enjoyable brunch. The service was first class as always and the food was delicious. Clean plates and full tummy’s all round. Enjoyed our overall experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Had a lovely lunch and browse in The Barn. Food was excellent. I had tart of the day but my new potatoes were too hard to eat. The negative for me was there was garlic in a lot of the dishes, and I have an intolerance to it. Would recommend it though (as I already have).

Despite living under 5mins drive away, this is only our second visit to Skylark in as many months. And why we’ve not been more often - or visited sooner - I have no idea!! What a special place. There are no airs and graces to Skylark but the location, atmosphere and food are brilliant. It’s a wonderfully laid back venue where you immediately leave your days stresses at the door. The plus side for us is that dogs are made to feel welcome and not an inconvenience. Each dog was given a treat on arrival, a bed to ensure their comfort and enough cuddles and fuss to keep any attention-seeking dog satiated. The food has been fantastic on both visits (breakfast and pizza) and the staff amazing! This will - has - become our new “go to” local. In the words of Arnie - “I’ll be back!”

I have had a Sunday lunch here twice now and I can honestly say I think the beef is the best I have eaten in a very long time! Cooked to perfection and just how I like it. Compliments to the chefs and all the staff there. 10/10

Always a pleasure coming here. The coffee has improved and a good selection of food. My only negative is the price of the Budda bowl which seems expensive and a small selection of ingredients.
