We moved to Great Eccleston in September of last year and we are still scoping out the best eating and drinking spots in the vicinity. The Patten Arms will certainly be going into our rotation and we look forward to eating many more excellent meals here. The food was of a very high standard and the staff were attentive and friendly. I am looking forward to attending when the weather is a little warmer and we can take advantage of the beer garden.

Disappointed Ordered Sunday roast Chicken and stuffing Not a Roast chicken dinner as advertised Thought I was getting a proper roast chicken in the bone with chicken skin Instead I got a chicken fillet cooked as a roast dinner Where was the traditional chicken on the bone with crispy skin which is what I thought I was ordering Chicken was cooked beautifully but not a roast chicken dinner I didn’t order chicken fillet with mash and veg for £17.95

Arranged a a nurses reunion on Friday we had such a lovely meal drinks and good catch up staff were so attentive and gladly took our photograph to remember our meeting shame we’ve left it so long to meet up 52 years ago thank you

Can’t fault the food, it was tasty, generous and very filling. My parents (who I dined with) were very complimentary about the restaurant/dining experience. We couldn’t stretch to a pudding after 2 courses. I was also impressed with the 4 cask ales on offer (under Cask Marque accreditation) As a counterweight, the bar area wasn’t quite to the same standard, nor were the toilets. But overall, an enjoyable experience, the chef team clearly know their trade.

Booked for lunch yesterday normally have the amazing cheese pie decided to mix it up and has sharing nachos Mac and cheese and salt and peppers fries all delicious and more than enough for the two of us will definitely be returning soon great food and great staff

After being recommended buy friends we had lunch on bank holiday Monday. Staff were efficient, pleasant & curious. The dining room was lovely & comfortable. Menus were simple with a couple of Asian twist on the specials, of which we had soft shelled crab, which we really enjoyed. For our mains we had salmon & belly pork which were excellent. As we're not massive eaters we skipped desert as full up after mains. We will return as we thoroughly enjoyed our visit & would recommend it to others

The food was great as always! Lamb Rogan Josh was legendary and full of lamb. Mat really knows what is doing and the staff are brilliant. Well done!

Excellent belly pork enjoyed on our impromptu visit on the way home from Nortumbria. Service was quick and waitresses were great.

All I can say is excellent food atmosphere and good beer top chef and staff PS could not move icon to 5 but it would be 5 all round

We stay in Garstang once a month and visit Nineteen each time. The hospitality is excellent and you are made to feel very comfortable. All staff are fabulous. The food is delicious and nothing too much bother. The menu is varied and have tried most things on the menu including Sunday Lunch which is very tasty and would highly recommended. Looking forward to our next visit. Well done guys. X

Staying nearby, this was a good option for us, and we weren't disappointed. Nice friendly service and great food... with a special shout out gor the steak and kidney pudding which was excellent and which is rarely seen on menus anymore. Would definitely return if back in the area.
