The Two Hares – GlossopFrom the minute we walk in we're greeted by exceptional and accommodating staff. I was able to adapt my meal without fuss, and the food excellent. Padron peppers make me feel like I'm abroad and fish and chips amazing.
The Two Hares – GlossopMy steak was gorgeous, perfectly cooked. My friends not quite right but immediate apology, no excuses and no charge. Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere and we shall definitely go again
The Two Hares – GlossopWe thoroughly enjoyed our experience on Friday night. The staff were very professional and attentive. The food was exceptional and we all enjoyed every course. We will certainly be returning.
The Two Hares – GlossopThis was an early Father's day treat with the family (including Buffy the dog) and we couldn't have picked a better place than The Two Hares. The friendliest service imaginable and we all felt immediately at home. The food was exceptional and fantastic value for money, great atmosphere and we can't wait to come again. A hidden gem. A big thank you from the Longden party. ( Buffy was disappointed because with food that good she got zero treats ! :)
The Two Hares – GlossopWe thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch with two close friends of long standing, who had not been to The Two Hares before. It was a special occasion. We had starters (of asparagus with egg, and scallops with tempura prawns), and roast mains of Derbyshire beef, and pork belly, with all the trimmings. Cooking and service were excellent in every regard, and very good value for money.
The Two Hares – GlossopTwo Hares, Glossop My partner and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch at The Two Hares on 1 June. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere has improved since the refurbishment. We opted for three starters: the prawn and scallop in a Thais green curry sauce, asparagus with fried egg, and Korean-style fried oysters. All were beautifully cooked, prepared, and presented to a high standard. The oysters, in particular, were sensational—rich in flavour and perfectly crisp. I would certain recommend to anyone who do not typically eat oysters but like shellfish. For the main course, we both chose the Derbyshire roast beef, served with seasonal greens, a giant carrot, plenty of roast potatoes, and oversized Yorkshire puddings, all topped with a rich jus. The beef was tender, the carrot surprisingly sweet, and the roast potatoes cooked just like mum used to make. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained enthusiastic, helpful, and attentive. Service was efficient, and our food arrived hot and without delay. We have supported this restaurant through its previous life as Hyssops, and we’ll happily continue to do so. Thanks to the whole team for a delightful meal!
The Two Hares – GlossopWe were a party of 4 for the evening menu. Little did we know just what a treat were in for. Every meal and the sides were all excellent. The hispi cabbage billed as a humble side was an absolute knock out dish! If you haven't already supported this local business please do yourself a favour and book in soon, your taste buds will be grateful!

The Two Hares – GlossopLove the Two Hares in the day but have now had a couple of experiences with the evening menu - fantastic. Quality of food is brilliant and reasonable pricing. Best place to eat in Glossop in the evening hands down.
The Two Hares – GlossopWe’ve had the absolute pleasure of eating at The Two Hares this past month and we’ve been so impressed with the quality of food and it’s ingredients ~ just beautiful! The staff are really lovely too, especially the young female host, who literally does everything she can to give you a positive experience.

The Two Hares – GlossopSunday Lunch treat for Mother’s Day. The roast beef main courses were delicious and we particularly enjoyed the starter of scallops in Tom Yum broth which we have never tried before, all of which was perfectly cooked and well presented. Excellent drinks menu, lovely atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. We have also visited The Two Hares for Brunch and Tapas, we are always made to feel very welcome and have never been disappointed. Thank you!
