Food was amazing! We ordered the meter long pizza, and it didn’t disappoint! Cocktails were great and service was wonderful!

What a great find. It was the first place that came up and we thought it best to shop around, but nothing came near it. Stayed over for two nights and couldn’t fault a thing. Friendly service from the owners and all the staff, fabulous food and an excellent selection of wines. The Miners’ support for local producers is admirable and the food was lovely. Spent the journey home to London planning our next stay.

Following a house move we we’re all ready for a hearty Sunday roast and as ever the Miners didn’t disappoint. Excellent food and surely the fastest service in the West.

We love eating at The Miners Arms. We are lucky to be local, and it's our first choice when going out for a meal. The owners/chef really care about the provenance of their food, with much of it being from our excellent local producers. The menu is well thought out and the dishes are designed and cooked to a very high standard, combining an umami mix of tastes and textures. Portions are generous. I'm usually too full for pud, but they are so good that I can't resist having one anyway. We never have to wait too long for our meals, service is friendly and covid safe. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, I would say this is probably the best gastro pub in the Forest of Dean. My mouth is watering while writing this review!

This is my favourite gastro pub. I took my Dad for afternoon tea recently and one plate stand was plenty for the two of us as we are small eaters. The scones were beautifully fresh and the little cakes tasted homemade. A nice touch to have fresh summer fruits on the plate. The only thing that could be improved is the sandwiches, which were a little unimaginative, especially for the price. Just plain ham or plain cheese. £30 for the two of us was quite expensive.

We enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch yesterday the quality of the beef was top notch and we really liked it served as a joint to carve ourselves, we also had a wonderful selection of vegetables. Save room for dessert, in particular the lemon tart with liquorice icecream it was outstanding. We can thoroughly recommend the Miners Arms.

Absolutely stunning food, and the staff were fab. If we had to pick something that wasn’t 100%, it would be that the restaurant is really loud, like a school canteen, so you can’t have a great conversation with those you’re dining with.

Great atmosphere, great staff and service, generous portion sizes and one of the best tasting meals I have had in a long time. Gloucester has a lot of Italian restaurants to choose from but this is my number one choice. Go here!

Food that we order was very nice and very good sized portions. Definitely would recommend and go back. Only things were we had to send a majito back as it wasn't very good and the second one was the same. At the price of it, I'd expect it to be good. Prices very high for drinks. Plus if there could be a chicken pasta dish and a seafood pasta dish would be great. Desserts also not much variety to where none of our party ordered one when we would have a liked to have a dessert.

We booked a table for 4, with a veggie and a gluten-free onboard ! The food was great, with plenty of VG and GF options available. The restaurant has a welcoming feel about it, and the service was friendly and efficient. So everything was of a very high standard, and it’s great to find a bit of Naples in Glawster Docks !
