Today we will be collecting our third Sunday roast takeaway and am so looking forward to it. Lots of meat, veg, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and gravy. It is absolutely gorgeous an piping hot. No pots to wash either. Win win.

We went to The Croft for the American themed night , and also as it was the 2nd day out of lockdown - and as per usual - were not disappointed at all. Food was fantastic - I had the dirty hot dog with onions, my wife had Mac n Cheese - and was delicious. And Oreo Cheesecake was to die for. The waiter and waitress who looked after us - you couldn't ask for anything better - friendly, professional and they realised without us having to say anything that my wife was having garlic bread as a side instead of a starter. We love The Croft and the past few times we've been there enhances this everytime - will definitely go back (well, we are both Christmas Eve and New Year's Day). Donna has a brilliant team.

The Croft is our go to place for being our favourite local restaurant, great atmosphere, food and great service, the theme nights are awesome you will be guaranteed a good night. All Covid rules are maintained and they make everyone as comfortable as they can .

I have always come away from The Miner's with a smile on my face and a full belly. The ingredients are Iocal and of a really high quality, cooked with flair and skill. The menu is diverse and ever-changing to showcase seasonal products and the chef's skill. Front of house is always efficiently run and the staff always friendly. During the Covid pandemic, the safety of customers and staff has been put front and centre, but done in such a way as to relax diners. Sam, Steve and the team continue to ensure fantastic food and congenial service for exceptional value. We love this place!

Excellent, great food and service, we visit Forest of Dean 2/3 times a year and have never been disappointed at the Miners .

'Pot Luck' Monday menu was much lengthier and more varied than expected, but may reduce later. The food was excellent, substantial in quantity, and a truly great meal (quality and quantity!). I will most definitely come again after the restrictions are eased. If forced to comment, I would say slightly too much meat for some, and slightly tough kale leaves, but hell, I needed the exercise!! Still fully deserving 5 stars, and the best meal that I have had in a long time.

Wonderful food at rock bottom price! We went on a Monday. The menu was titled "Pot Luck all items reduced by 50%". The selection was amazing. Typical of a high end Gastro Pub. Our meal was such great value we paid a 50% tip. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Forest of Dean.

We had a fabulous meal whilst on a recent visit to Bourton-on-the-Water. The Seabass was the best I’ve tasted in a long time and the sticky toffee pudding was unforgettable. The service was very friendly and the position next to the river is delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food with a good choice of menu - a really good chef and kitchen. The choice of wines was good with a very pleasant Rioja to accompany our roast Sunday lunch. The service was prompt, friendly, and very professional. An overall good atmosphere that was very welcoming and the COVID restrictions were carefully observed. The meal represented great value for money, given the excellent quality of the food and the wine. We shall certainly come back again and again.

What a amazing place!. Everything about the experience was fantastic, the service, the food and the atmosphere was bustling and busy, which is a great reflection. This was our first visit so we didn’t know what to expect, what a surprise to see joints you can carve yourself, plenty of veg and gravy on the table, everything was delicious, we felt obliged to try the desserts, which again went down really well, thanks for a great meal!.

We went to The Miners for our first visit for Sunday lunch which was great. We loved the joints that we could carve ourselves which also meant we could share. There was plenty to eat and we could take home our left overs. I also had the five mini desserts which I would highly recommend and my daughter had sticky toffee pudding which was delicious and a large portion. Also liked the decor of the pub. Overall, very enjoyable.

We met friends for dinner last week - The Miners staff are dealing with COVID well and you feel very safe. The food was delicious as always - my husband had the Beef and Oxtail suet pudding a few weeks ago and recommended it to the friends. They thought it was the best meal out they’d had for ages. A little more veg would have been appreciated. Well done to The Miners - keep up the good work - it’s much appreciated.

Yet another incredible meal at the Miners.The venison dish was fantastic and the oxtail pie which I recommended to my guests was as good as I suggested . I fear that a Michelin Star will be bestowed any time soon and we won't be able to get a reservation ! The usual friendly service, we hope to return soon ,Covid permitting.
