We stayed in our motorhome in the car park, we was in the area and the main reason for booking the miners was the menu. And we wasn't disappointed the food was wonderful and very large portions and superb quality and very reasonable prices..They made us feel very safe and comfortable due to the covid situation, if we are in the area again, we will be heading for the miners for dinner..

The atmosphere is very welcoming with a good emphasis upon an enjoyable family occasion. Service is very good with menus and orders being given and taken promptly. The food is excellent, particularly the Sunday lunch butchers board, and full credit to Steve the Chef and owner, as well as his sous chef for the quality, imagination, and fine degree of preparation and presentation. The choice of wines is good and appropriate for the menus offered. The Miners is a credit to the area and should be supported in full as a testimony to its high quality and excellence.

Really well organised, greeted at the door and asked to sanitise our hands, they already had our details from the booking so seated us at table and took our order for drinks and meals. The roast was really lovely, cracking roast potatoes and the veg was all cooked really well, not soggy like some you get. Finished off with Apple and blackberry crumble and custard which was delicious! Would definitely visit again.

Pleasant and helpful welcome on arrival. Tables socially distanced. Ordered Whitebait to share for starters, then Ham, Egg & Chips and Beef Lasagne for mains with a bottle of Pinot Blush to drink, which was nice and cold. All food was plentiful and tasty and very much home cooked style. We enjoyed our evening, service was good.

The Talbot is one of the easiest places to get into with a wheelchair, and staff were very accommodating. We all had fairly simply lunches, which suited us perfectly - what was most important to us, was the space, which felt clean and uncluttered.
