Caffe e Vino – TewkesburyWe tried to look at the menu on line, as my wife likes Fish… We arrived to find there was no fresh fish on the menu… Actually there was very little that appealed to my wife.. She she had a starter with chips…her comment God they are Hot Hot… She enjoyed her food.. I also was undecided what to have, ended up with Fish Chips And Curry sauce It was Amazing, the curry sauce was to die for….if I only had a bigger fish & Chips…..But it was adequate and very delicious. Think next time we stay in Forest Dean…we will ring to find out what was on the menu that evening.. We arrived at 6 pm only to be told they had sold out of the lamb… Sold out…you only just re opened….i think they never received the lamb with there order…my wife would have been happy with the lamb…such a shame…. We have visited the restaurant previously, hence that’s why we came back… Food and staff…very good…
Wye Valley Catering – ColefordWe had a great evening at caffe e vino. The atmosphere is lovely. There were 4 of us and had Burrata and salad caprese for starters. Delicious. The wine is reasonably priced and very well selected. Our waitress was sweet. Main courses were , a seafood fresh pasta ravioli, 2 risottos and and another ravioli. All the main courses were well cooked and vv tasty. For puddings we chose a caprese cake with nuts in that tasted as if fresh nuts had been freshly chopped for it. We had a cherry ice cream that had the sumptuous taste of amerene cherry. We would go back there for sure. In fact , we did , next morning for coffee and cake.
Caffe e Vino – TewkesburyMy wife and I visited The Miners whilst on holiday (May 2025) as a result of a Google search. We’re SO glad we did. The food was AWESOME! It was well cooked, beautifully presented and served with a smile. Every course was clearly freshly prepared and so well presented you would be forgiven for thinking that you were in a top class restaurant rather than a country pub. The lack of a menu online was a little frustrating at first, but on getting to the pub, it was actually a nice surprise to see what was on offer - and being a Thursday there was a choice of menu to eat a main course for £10. I chose the Haddock Bites from that menu and the amount of food was incredible value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and can state without doubt that we will be back

Having strongly recommended it to them, I was delighted that the food was as excellent as I remembered, and the owners and staff as efficient and as welcoming. We booked the garden room both times, and it was so lovely, with a garden just like one on a summer day in Italy. Everyone of my friends are looking forward to coming back. Thank you all at Caffè e vino, and for being patient with my broken italian. Grazie mille a tutti. :-)

The food for all 4 of us was excellent and great value for money as always from the Miners, my Wife and I do go there quite often. The service was excellent as always and all of the Staff are a credit to the establishment.
Wye Valley Catering – ColefordWe rave about Sunday lunches at The Miners, normally, despite it being very busy, the service is first class. This time it wasn't as busy as normal but we had to wait 25 minutes, the plates had gone cool by the time the food arrived and the turkey was dry and the gammon ham was a really strange cut, almost like a gammon steak, so was impossible to carve. Left us thinking that the delay was due to a lack of gammon hence a steak was roasted and in the meantime the turkey dried out. Very unusual because as I said everything is normally like clockwork ! I'm sure this was a blip, but I'm sure that if we had been new clients, we wouldn't of returned. As it is, after years of having Sunday lunches at the Miners, I'm sure the next meal will be back to normal standard.

As previously, the food was delicious, with a nice range of vegetables, and the Butchers block meats were cooked well and plentiful. As an ale fan I love the local beers, and my wife enjoyed the Mocktails that we haven't tried previously. The team also work brilliantly together, everyone happy to help with drinks or a question at any time. The walks locally are also brilliant, and all within a 10 min drive from the Miners They are also very Dog friendly. Thank you again, we will be back again
