Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch!

Stayed at campsite Hawthorne Cottage & booked at the Miners for a meal. Lovely meal we chose the special for that evening (Wye valley rump steak) with all the trimmings delightful. Good ales & wine with delicious sticky toffee pudding what more could you ask for “Delicious “ Also staff very attentive.

Great roast beef for Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Great meal and value

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. It was very quiet on the night we were there and the waiter didn't come tonus, other than to take the initial order and deliver the food. It's a shame as we would have ordered more drinks and puddings.

We had an absolutely lovely pre show supper here on Saturday. Fabulously friendly service and lovely food. The special of seared tuna steak went down particularly well. Will have no hesitation of coming back again.

We have eaten a fair few time here, we moved to Forest of Dean 6 years ago and always try places to eat but we are drawn back to the miners sling The food is excellent as too the staff, and pot luck Monday is a brilliant idea

We visited on Wednesday 19th Feb for the burger meal deal. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious. Both burgers were cooked well and presented nicely. The only improvement would be to have more choice of burgers in the burger deal.

Great meals for each of the nights we stayed at the hotel. Atmosphere was very relaxed with good background music and brilliant service. The food was excellent and had the specials and tapas and both were very good.

What a fab night. We absolutely loved the wine tasting and the food was amazing as always. Highly recommend Caffè e Vino and Davide and his staff are always welcoming.

Excellent food as always, lovely people and great service

Had a lovely meal. Chilled ambient music and friendly staff. Food was lovely and would definitely eat here again. Shared a cheese garlic bread, hubby had Calzone and I had sea bass from the specials board. Only complaint was that they had changed the sea bass special and hadn’t told me however food was still lovely. Finished off with Afogato.

My husbands first visit to C e V …now his favourite restaurant he can’t wait to go again.

Lunch with a friend. The welcome service and atmosphere are outstanding, and the prices are reasonable for such good food. I did think my orechiette all'aglio was more heavy on garlic than I had expected! But it was delicious. The puddings were great too. It's always a pleasure to eat here, you can really imagine that you're in Italy..

Whilst the food and service were very good there were a couple of points which could be improved upon. Firstly, since I have a large appetite I feel that the portions were rather small. I asked for bread to mop up the excellent sauce that came with my sea bass and was charged £5:50 for this. My guests cheese board was good but no butter was provided.

Have been a regular for a number of years and will return. I feel that my last meal was a little below usual standard with regard to very chewy beef and all food a little cooler than l prefer, and my sticky toffee pudding was also below par.
