Staff very friendly and so helpful, food superb

Decided on spur of the moment to have lunch with two friends - booked table on line and arrived at restaurant half an hour later. Staff were very welcoming and we asked if we could sit outside as it was a gorgeous day. Service was brilliant - came shortly after being seated to ask for drinks order and then after a time for our meal order. Food was good value for money and very tasty. Spent most of the afternoon there and they didn't rush us as it wasn't too busy.

Excellent, friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful setting. Comprehensive menu, food very tasty and good portion size with small options available. Will certainly return and have already recommended to friends.

I checked the website and as my son is. A vegetarian he wouldn’t eat a carvery, but saw on a Sunday evening there was an a la carte menu also, so I booked On arriving we were told it was a carvery with mushroom stroganoff as vegetarian option. He doesn’t eat mushrooms so had to make do with a plate of vegetables. Which was the same price as my meal with meat and stuffing. When I paid I told the cashier that the website said there was alternative food to a carvery and she said oh the website needs changing. Poor customer service will not be coming again

We visit every month for our splendid Saturday lunch. The staff are superb, very welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them so they make our visits delightful. The only debit is that the prices are rather high but we cannot fault the service and the food is delicious.

Tocketts Mill is our favourite place to go when eating out. It is very local for us too which is a bonus. Food is very good and ample portions. Often a main evening meal is sufficient for us - not much room left for a pud. We also enjoy going for their light bites lunch on a nice day and sit outside. It feels like you are abroad on holiday. Very enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.
