Very tasty food, very pleasant staff and good service. We enjoyed fish cakes, Tuscan bean stew, bruschetta, pork schnitzel, chicken with fondant potato and creamed Savoy cabbage. All served piping hot. The Madri lager went down very well.

This was our 4th meal since the new ownership and as per the other meals it was delicious. It’s really nice having the specials and it was all cooked beautifully. The carrot cake was amazing again as were the Whitebate. We were sat outside which is lovely in this weather.

Really good service with good COVID-19 procedure made to feel welcome the burger was really tasty but I feel would have been better value with two or three onion rings served alongside it. My dad also enjoyed his fish and chips. Nice village location with plenty of parking.good choice of beers and nice beer garden

Second visit for food since the recent opening and it was lovely. I actually had the chicken dish again because it was so tasty last time. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The caramel creme brûlée was just divine. We had a few allergies in our group and that was catered for very well. Looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch sometime soon.

Definitely recommend checking out the relaunched Duke of Wellington! Friendly, welcoming staff and some great ales on tap! The food is excellent! I highly recommend the Pan Fried Chicken Breast! It may sound straightforward but it’s restaurant quality tasty! The fish and chips is also a beast and definitely try the chorizo scotch egg!!

I visited The Duke of Wellington on Sunday 13th June 2021... the weather was lovely so we sat outside. We dined from the Sunday Menu... it did not dissappoint! I had Scallops to start followed by the Roast Pork Sunday roast, my partner had The Chorizo Scotch Egg followed by The Duke Burger. Our food was perfect, each dish was full of flavour, well presented and we enjoyed every mouthful. The portions were great and food quality was brilliant. The drinks menu had a good variety, quality wines and lagers for us to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return... I would highly recommend The Duke of Wellington to my family and friends as one to visit! Well done to the new team!

Had a tasty great value 2 course lunch Mackerel pate which was generous and very tasty Whitebait another generous portion Followed by superb fresh fish and proper chunky chips and haddock goujon sandwich with fries Superb service will come again Highly recommended we will try the a la carte next time

Sunday Lunch was incredible, the best I’ve had in a long time. Great choice of drinks and desserts. Everything was top class that couldn’t be faulted. We will be back!

Second night under new ownership (22/05/2021), food was really good and was definitely a cut above typically pub food. Would put it on a par with the Deer Park on Street Lane. Wine list looks great as well and familiar, comfortable surroundings in East Keswick. Look forward to visiting again soon.
