Pissarro’s – HastingsFriendly staff, serving good food. We went on a night where there was live music which we really enjoyed. I don't drink beer, but could see there is a wide range on offer.
The Seadog – HastingsFantastic roast beef dinner! Lovely place, great atmosphere and service! Would recommend!
The Seadog – HastingsI came here after everyone raving about it and was a little disappointed. We had the roast which was pretty average tbh, the only really good thing was the stuffing. Staff were so lovely and great atmosphere but maybe we just had them at an off day?
The Seadog – HastingsGreat food and service in a lovely, busy pub. We had the prawn curry, samosas, loaded fries, burgers and spice bag - all absolutely delicious. Very good value too. Will return to try the other options on the menu.
The Seadog – HastingsAlways great food, nice atmosphere.
Pissarro’s – HastingsThe Seadog has such a great atmosphere and lovely service. The food at Kismet was just delicious and we will be back.
The Seadog – HastingsAmazing food and great staff , could not ask for more
The Seadog – HastingsThe problem with giving a good review is that people read it and go along to the place and make it harder for me to get a table next time. So taking that risk .... mid afternoon on a Wednesday what could go wrong ? Nothing. Two fers on the excellent Hot Chicken wings, an incredible keema curry and raita to die for. The new kitchen team produce some of the best food I have had in Hastings. Hardly surprising given the two fantastic restaurants behind it. 100% recommend - but don't take the last table ... I want it.
The Seadog – HastingsWe have been coming here for a number of years for steak night, which has always been good, used to get a bottle of wine with it but now only get a glass each, which is ok and quite understandable, however I was not impressed with having a glass of red wine which had been sitting on the shelf far to long and had gone slightly brown with sediment in, the steak was also full of gristle, bit disappointed this time around and will probably be our last visit
Pissarro’s – HastingsI love The Seadog. It's probably my favorite pub in Hastings. There aren't many left like this. It has a super cosy vibe, great atmosphere and good selection of drinks. The new food menu is absolutely delicious too. I loved food previously but I think this is even better. I will definitely be going back to try more on the menu.
The Seadog – HastingsWanted a chilled, quite lunch, and got exactly that. The waitress was polite and well presented. The food was hot and delicous. Will definately be coming here again for lunch
Pissarro’s – HastingsWe travelled 3 hours as a treat for our mums 70th Birthday treat. Booked a table for 10 of us. The staff were lovely, prepared the birthday cake for us and played Stevie Wonders Happy Birthday. The lady couldn’t have been nicer. The food was delicious and service on point. Thank you.
The Seadog – HastingsThe Seadog is one of my favourite pubs in Hastings, and I was excited to try the new kitchen, so it's unfortunate that my recent visit wasn't great. Although, the food was nice, I think it was quite overpriced. The portions were small and you have to pay to add rice or flatbread which was an additional £3.95 and the flatbread was dry and tasteless. So a small bowl of chicken and some sauce with a flat bread was nearly £18. Although not the pubs fault, some customers in there hang were hanging around our booked table, hoping we'll leave earlier or not show up, which is annoying and doesn't provide for a comfortable dining experience. It doesn't put me off returning, but I would think twice about ordering food there now, as I think the prices are too high and portions too small.
The Seadog – HastingsAbsolutely love this place ! The lunch menu is amazing value £10 with a free drink ! The food is well presented reasonable choice vegan friendly. The brownie sundae to finish was honestly divine will definitely go back highly recommend.
Pissarro’s – HastingsThe pub quiz is hilarious. Fantastic beers too
The Seadog – HastingsWe came for the India Style food, and it didn’t disappoint, would have again - will be keeping an eye on the socials for sure!
The Seadog – HastingsThe meal was tasty. Quite small portions. The samosa was pretty spicy - a little too much for my taste. My husband enjoyed his lamb with flatbread. Not the pub’s fault but the table next to us were drunk and extremely loud so we couldn’t talk or hear each other meaning we left early and went to Pickled instead, which had a much calmer atmosphere. Just be mindful when booking that Seadog is first and foremost a pub not a restaurant, hence the raucous atmosphere. The table wasn’t clean and the flowers were dead in the vase so it all felt a bit unloved and rough and ready. A nice pub for a lively night out, but I wouldn’t rush back for a meal.
