Food is ok (although no matter what type of curry you get they all seem to taste the same) and it's one of the cheapest restaurants I've ever been to (£78 for 13 of us!!!) but the service is horrendous. I've actually been back four or five times with friends purely to show them how bad it is - waiters literally throw plates of food onto the table, scowl at you at all times and seem to find it extraordinarily inconvenient that anyone would want to order food. A truly odd dining experience!

We enjoyed an excellent lunch here with our two teenage children. The service is attentive, without being intrusive. The lamb was perfectly cooked - with the waitress at pains to point out that it would be served "pink" (no problem with that)- and was served on a bed of crisp green beans, sauteed potatoes and feta cheese. The other dishes of meatballs with spaghetti and burger and chips were pedestrian but well received by the younger members of the party. An excellent lunch in relaxed surroundings.

Excellent food when we paid the place a visit - and the owner himself delivered food to us after being let down by his delivery driver when we ordered take out - can't ask for better service!

Thai Sabai – Headingley

Happy 1st birthday Thai Sabai! Offering more than simple 'Thai food', here standard dishes edge into cuisine, while there is a refreshingly wide range of exquisite meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. My meat-eating chef friend rates the weeping-tiger steak. I couldn't pick a vegetarian dish to recommend, they are all the best I've had this side of Thailand. The dishes are a cut above other 'bistro' Thais in Leeds. Equally the quality of food is very high without the formality and flamboyance of some Leeds Thai restaurants. Dishes are authentically Thai in taste and heat, but can be made milder (or hotter!) on request to the friendly, relaxed, but efficient staff! I have been coming here regularly since I discovered it in early 2007. Everyone I have recommended it to have made repeat visits. My vegan friends love it too. Thank you!

Thought we'd try out this cosy Thai place in Headingley and discovered a gem! The man serving us was very helpful with making choices from the menu. The drinks were reasonably priced from a well stocked bar. The food is as good as any of the most expensive Thai restaurants in Leeds, but it is not served in half a pineapple or inside a coconut. You do often get an edible flower as garnish though! Authentic flavours and ingredients, fantastically prepared result in fresh and interesting menu choices. There is a fair amount of chili in use, but every dish I tasted was just the right level of heat. Supplemental chillis are available for those in the need. The sweets are also beautifully prepared, a light, luxurious experience. Finished off with a Thai rum - all excellent.

I can't help but rave about it! Of the 3 restaurants i prefer this one as the atmosphere is great due to it always being busy. The food is beautiful, I could quite happily work my way through the menu. The staff are attentive and efficient which always helps. Not the cheapest but it is great value for money.

25 August 2007 Popped in with my husband and a friend for a bite to eat. We were welcomed by a beautiful young lady and shown to our seats in perfect Thai style. Gary the owner, he quickly made himself known, offered the wine list and over a very modest price bottle of Cabernet we had the difficult choice of choosing our food from a choice of 80 dishes. We chose mixed starters and battered prawns. Weeping Tiger steak with noodles, steamed sea bass with stir fry veg and a stir fry rice dish with prawns, which was very hot and spicy, just as I like it. The food was cooked to perfection by Juree, Gary's partner. The bill was around £60 for the three of us, with sparkling water and coffee. the reviews in the window for once tell the truth, Oliver of YEP fame gave them stars out of 20 and we agree.

Very nice little cafe bar in the middle of headingley, I’ve been a few times now and have never been disappointed. It has lots of offers for daytime (main meal and drink £5) or evening meals and is always busy. Would recommend this to anyone. Definitely recommend from the snacks Mexican Chicken Nachos (don't let this put you off it is a very large portion.

It is a well-situated friendly place, where the food and service is consistently very good. I now eat there every week. What more can we ask?

First rate Thai food in an informal setting. The emphasis is on very fresh, clean and authentic flavours served promptly and with minimum fuss.

Very nice food, but don’t take bookings so generally a long wait for a table at busy times, but definitely worth it

After hearing about the myrtle on radio aire. We decided to give it a go to see if it was everything it was made out to be. It certainly was, great food and value for money. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel like we were regulars which was great. A very traditional pub while still keeping up to date with modern day needs. We will definitely return.

Since the fall of Adam and Eve, Earth has been waiting for a change to redeem itself and prove to God that this world is worthy of something good. Come the millennium and low and behold, our saving grace has been bestowed upon us in the form of a restaurant. The brie and roasted pepper salad is divine (add cashew nuts and bacon to it too!) and people never stop raving about the nachos. Whether you live in the United States or Kathmandu, you have a duty to the Earth itself to relish in this delight. I can only compare the experience at Dare to a heavenly banquet.
