We had a great Sunday Roast at the King Stag. To celebrate a birthday and we knew the King Stag was an ideal place to take our guests who had never been before. The food and service are always top notch and this time was no different. There were four of us and 2 dogs and we were all well looked after by the front of house team. The food was great and there was lots of it - including biscuits for the dogs! The atmosphere was buzzing as usual and everyone is really friendly - including all the dogs having to check each other out. High recommended.

Having found a ‘dog friendly’ pub for lunch, we booked. Together with my ‘friend, and our dog we visited for Sunday lunch at 13.30 on Sunday 7 January 2024 Thank you for the great meaL and wonderful service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and immediately offered a bowl of water for the dog. Every member of the team who looked after us ( and there were quite a few) was warm, friendly, helpful and delightful to chat with. The roast beef was the most tender we’ve eaten in a long time. The vegetables were cooked to perfection; having a lovely ‘bite’ to them…and the roast potatoes were stunning. Thank you so much for giving us a multi-dimensional delicious Sunday afternoon.

Found this pub by off chance after searching pubs in bushey. The place had a great atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming.the food was very good and we didn’t have to wait long for it to arrive. The portions were big and the food was hot. Just the two of us enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast, but I shall return with more members of my family as I was not disappointed . Great pub.

There were four of us booked in to celebrate the birthdays of two of the party. It was extremely busy with Christmas parties and I did feel that we’d just been stuck in as an afterthought, despite having booked a few weeks ago. That said, we were made to feel welcome and our food did not take too long to arrive. The staff were very attentive even though they were all busy serving all the diners. The portion sizes were HUGE and absolutely delicious. All four of us really enjoyed it. In fact, we were so full from just a main course, we finished with a hot drink only. Despite living in the area for over 20years this was our first visit to this pub and we will be back during a less busy time.

I first drunk in the King Stag when I was in my teens and have frequented ever since for a swift dog walking pint or full blown dinner with the Mrs. This year, however, we took our staff for a Christmas meal last week. We were all very impressed with the welcome we received, the great service and very delicious food!! With 15 of us in the party and an age range of 17 - 90, pleasing everyone was no mean feat. Between us we tried most things on the menu and there was some swapping & tasting our neighbours so most things were sampled. We actually ordered some spare meals and puds just so we could try different things! Portions were very generous and we had to take the cheeseboards away in doggy bags... All in all very much recommend wether family of business meal, or just to get a nice drink in lovely surroundings.

This is how a pub should be. Cosy, fun, good food and a decent Guiness.

Absolutely lovely evening and we are so lucky to have the King Stag as a local. The staff are welcoming and can't do enough. Good selection of games so we ended up spending the evening playing dobble with our daughter, who is also a big fan. It is also great for four legged friends - fun menu, always bring a water bowl to the table and treats are on tap - what more can a dog ask for? In fact my dog takes me there on our morning walk in the vain hope we will go in at 8am! Whilst our final bill wasn't cheap, it represented good value for money and portions are very generous.

Went for Sunday Roast after visiting the Warner Brothers Studio. Service was wonderful, the wait staff was friendly and helpful. Pub is set up very nice. Roast was good. Wish the pudding was a bit crisper, but we enjoyed our meal very much!

The owners have done a brilliant job here, the food is always very good, the owners are constantly adding new items to the menu. The service is always friendly and efficient. Great pub all round!

Superb Christmas meal with the highlight being the White Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding. Absolutely love this pub - great atmosphere and fantastic food and drink.

Fantastic Sunday Roast, excellent quality & delicious. I've been here 4 times now with lots of family & the food is always Superb, the staff are excellent & extremely friendly. I highly recommend it

We visited the Kings Stag on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Our food was cooked to individual requests and servers were very prompt with drink. Each server we had were very polite and not intrusive to conversations on the table, everyone was very friendly.

Another excellent meal. Superb sirloin roast!
