Enjoyed steak night on Wednesday last week. Good food, friendly service, as always!

Did both my dad's 70th and wife's 30th here - brilliant food and venue.

Food was delicious and service was friendly and efficient, we had a great time! :)

A birthday gathering made into a real celebration by the fabulous service, friendly staff and lovely food.

We visited for my Partner’s 30th Birthday celebrations and the staff, in particular Tom, were so lovely and attentive. It was a bring your own BBQ, which was a great experience! I would highly recommend!

The king stag has a nice atmosphere. The team were friendly. The roast dinner came with two slabs of beef, but there were only three quarter cut potatoes and very little veg. You had to pay £1.50 extra for gravy. When the roast was already £22.00. It's a shame because there's other pubs, in the area, which are very generous with veg, gravy, and are under £20 and just as good quality. Thanks but overpriced and not enough veg.

I booked Sunday lunch for 4. Our drinks were served very quickly. We had two roasts and two burgers followed by some desserts. All food was very tasty however more vegetables are definitely needed with a roast! Only a few small pieces of cut up carrots and strips of cabbage aren’t really what I expected with a roast and especially not at that price. The pub seems to be run by lots of teenagers who are pleasant but could do with a little more training as our order was incorrect. I’d recommend all staff being trained to repeat orders back to customers no one matter how small the order. It’s our local so we will be back . Thanks

The roast dinners were a disappointment yesterday along with having to get up and get our first drink from the bar. Not the usual experience. Sorry.

Went here on Sunday for roast. Was absolutely delicious. We all had rib of beef and it just fell off the bone. Will definitely be returning.

We visited the Horse n Chains frequently and therefore decided to come to the Royal Oak for the same menu. We were a bit disappointed except for the chips which were excellent. Cheese sauce instead of cheese on a burger is not the best. We had a lovely evening though and will come back

Been coming to the Royal Oak Watford Heath more & more! The Sunday roasts are great but last night we had sourdough pizza from the Tuesday night pop up stall. Reasonably priced and really tasty. Definitely coming back.

We've been coming here for years fantastic service always a friendly atmosphere, and the food is absolutely wonderful, never had a bad meal, very highly recommended, the saying you pay for what you get is very true.

What a lovely pub!! Great food, wonderful service in a delightful setting. I had the roast rib beef which was delicious. The Yorkshire Puddings however weren’t the greatest, overdone and burnt. That aside, fabulous, we had a lovely afternoon and I will be back.

We held our company summer BBQ at The King Stag and a good time was had by all. The event ran smoothly and was well catered for. The food was lovely, and in good portion sizes, and well organised (particularly for our persons requiring special dietary requirements). Special thanks to Rob, Daisy and the team. They were all welcoming and helpful and made the effort to help serve our large group. Well done.

The food here is amazing, probably the best chips I've ever had. Will definitely be back
