Seriously underwhelming. I’m not sure who wrote all the good reviews, but maybe they were paid for? I went to the trouble of booking, but there was no need. The service was slow, run by teenagers who clearly had no idea what they were doing. Admittedly, the food was nice when it finally arrived. It was a fairly warm evening and they only had one small window open, turning the place into a sauna. No background music, no atmosphere and when I complained about the service I was told that they weren’t expecting so many customers. It was half empty! I won’t be going back.

Fabulous roast dinner as always . Never disappoints . We are lucky to have this pub as our local . We must support . Lovely stands and great food and ambience .

The best burgers … ever! My son won’t eat burgers anywhere else now. Go for the burgers, stay for the atmosphere & friendly staff.

This is a lovely pub! Food was absolutely outstanding and the staff are so wonderful. If you love live music then this is also the pub for you, brilliant entertainment!

Had another lovely night at Prince George this Saturday. Food was as always delicious, everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. Later when sitting outside we were a bit cold so we wrapped ourselves in blankets provided - how cosy! Will be back again soon :-)

Great Sunday Lunch perfectly cooked and very tasty, eaten here a few times and never had a bad meal yet. First time we’ve taken our dog and was instantly welcomed with a bowl of water without even asking.

Amazing, as always. Had a lovely lunch and a few drinks out in the garden. Staff all lovely, nothing was too much. Highly recommend the Prince George!

Food was absolutely amazing there was 12 of us and the staff were very pleasant and very accommodating for a large group of us i had to alter the booking a few times to add more and more people on the table and there was no issue whatsoever, we all had a lovely fathers day roast a big thanks to the staff and chef for making it happen

Food and atomoshere at the King Stag is always to a good standard. Staff are friendly, cocktails are bar made with good quality spirits and the food menu suits the 5 of us (2 meat eating parents and 3 vegetarian teenagers). They really need to bring the pineapple and ginger cake back though :) But the sticky toffee pudding was a good substitute.

Great food with fantastic staff.

My wife and l went to check out this restaurant/gastro pub, as we were looking for a venue for a birthday party for my young nieces birthday, we were very pleasantly surprised we ordered off the specials menu and were pleasantly surprised with the paella when it arrives, the food was delicious the service brilliant the staff were really professional and courteous nothing was to much trouble. A real find, was in two minds about writing this review as l really wanted to keep this jewel to myself. But credit were credit is due. Thank you for a lovely experience look forward to seeing you soon.

The pub catered for the wake after a family funeral. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend!
