The Prince George – WatfordCould not fault our Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious. Really good, friendly service. Can highly recommend. We will be back.
The Prince George – WatfordFantastic friendly staff as always, you can't beat their Sunday Roasts, excellent quality.
The Prince George – WatfordExcellent Sunday dinner!!
The Prince George – WatfordThe food is perfectly served! We have steaks on Valentine's day and they are served Medium Well and Medium Rare as we requested. The peppercorn sauce is unique and the best I've ever tasted! My boy loved the bangers too. We enjoyed the atmosphere very much and just in time to get our girl as well!
The Prince George – WatfordHad the Durban steak fantastic Great atmosphere definitely will come back
The Prince George – WatfordOne of the best pubs out there. We are incredibly lucky that this is a local pub to us - and it's a firm favourite for all the family - kids, adults and Barnaby (the dog!). The service is fantastic. The menu is plentiful. I had the harissa chicken on potato flat breads which was heavenly. The rest of the family had burgers and battered fish & chips. Honestly - we couldn't fault it. Great service, great grub, great value. Thank you Kings Stag for being brilliant and for being our local!
The King Stag – BusheyExcellent food, great staff, very friendly. Highly recommend.
The King Stag – BusheyWas there yesterday Sunday lunch. My friend ordered a steak which was so tough he couldn’t cut it and I had sausage and mash which was very disappointing Service was very slow Bathrooms weren’t very clean
The King Stag – BusheyWe had the Sunday roast. 5 people plus dog. Overall it’s a great pub and value for money. The staff were very attentive throughout and our food of dinner and desert was for the most part great. Healthy slices of meat in the roast and tasty veg. Only slight downside was my son’s beef which had a line of sinew through it. We didn’t raise the issue as we’d had a lovely meal and every other dish was great and we had enough portions to keep him full. It’s a great local pub and well worth a visit. Parking can be a little tricky but we got a space in the limited car park fortunately. Dog friendly pub and all well behaved dogs which at this time of year with an open fire is to me idyllic.
The King Stag – BusheyWe have been to The King Stag a few times, with family, as fairly local and have usually had a good experience. However, three of us and a dog ate there on Tuesday night and weren't overly impressed with the food. The staff were lovely and helpful but the service was a bit slow, considering they weren't overly busy. My main course (bunless burger with a couple of toppings & sweet potato fries) was only just warm & a little dry. I asked if they could possibly heat it up for me, which they did but it did dry it out a bit more. The taste was overall good. Then my dessert, of apple crumble, was boiling hot but the vanilla custard was cold. My son enjoyed his fish & chips though the fries could have done with some seasoning. His desert of Sticky Toffee Pudding was okay but could have been more moist. My husband enjoyed his bunless burger and his was nice and hot. However his dessert, which was supposedly a Black Forest Gateaux, was nothing like one! It's supposed to be a layer cake with cream and cherries, plus cherry brandy. It came as a square serving of chocolate sponge, with no filling, a little dry, 3 blueberries on the top and a blob of Chantilly cream. At £8.50 per dessert, we expected better. So think the kitchen could do better but it's a nice pub overall.
The King Stag – BusheyAlways great food and service. Had tomato soup, was so delicious, tasted homemade. Staff always so helpful and they love our dog too, wonderful. Look forward to coming again
The King Stag – BusheySat night dinner, was really yummy crumbed Brie bites were divine. Then I had a a few little snack plates as may main and my husband had chicken on pita which he said was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly
The King Stag – BusheyAlways delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great service.
The Prince George – WatfordUnfortunately we had a very bad experience as the turkey and beef was so overcooked, burnt potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and sloppy bread and butter pudding. I brought 5 friends with me who hadn’t been there before and the meal was a complete disaster. Your staff were excellent trying to make things right but I doubt I will make another booking. I’m a local resident and it is a real shame our experience was so poor.
The King Stag – BusheyWe were a group of 13 that came here for Christmas lunch. Sandra was accommodating to the various changes we had to make to our booking which we appreciated. Food, wine and service was impeccable on the day, would recommend the Prince George without reservations.
The Prince George – WatfordA friend and I enjoyed a lovely pre-Christmas meal, nice glass of Malbec and a delicious bread and butter pudding. My dog ordered a bowl of sausages which were woofed down before I even took my first mouthful! Staff were friendly and atmosphere was cosy and pleasant. The only thing that bugs me is clearing away one person’s plate while the other is still eating.
The King Stag – BusheyAmazing food!
