Galley Hall – HertfordRude! Rude! staff. Telephone manners are appauling. I wouldn't consider eating there after telephoning them.
Lotus Fish Bar – HatfieldWe visited zizzi in wembley, friendliest staff ever, made us so welcome, could not do enough for us. Great choice of food, we really enjoyed our evening.
Zizzi – HitchinHaving recently visited the Fox and Duck I was disappointed with the food which all seemed rather bland. The meat pie was loaded with pieces of fat inside and the fish batter oily and hard.

The Hedgehog – Welwyn Garden CityThe only place in Stevenage to get truly outstanding food....What can I say Gladleys deli was the place to go for the best breakfast in town and now they've moved next door into a much bigger and nicer premisis they've really notched it up a gear, only problem is it now gets quite packed at lunch times as locals are starting to cop on...

Huckleberry Chicken – WareA Huge thank you to Micheala and her above and beyond duty to help us after our car mishap on the motorway M 25. We ended up staying at the Colney Fox Inn on 8/31 and 9/1. while waiting for a car rental replacement . The Inn was wonderful and Micheala more than kind and helpful. Where may I send her the picture we took together. In all the excitement we ended up with the room key #5 continuing on our journey in UK. Mailed it yesterday should have received it by now. Kudos to all for making this mishap a new adventure. Stranded Americans on holiday Marge and Glenn Garrett

Sea Master Fish and Chips – RickmansworthI visited the India lodge on Sunday of the bank holiday.they had a buffet on. The first thing I observed was a lack of choice. The selection being very limited. Then when they opened the lids no steam was emitted, and I questioned how hot it was, but I was told that it was at the correct temperature. I had to wait for more rice. I helped myself to a plate full, only to find that it was nearly cold. When I complained, they first of all appeared surprised, then said it may have been due to some power cuts. They eventually re-heated it for me. The food was bland, and it was only the fact that I was very hungry that I didn't just leave. I am diabetic and obviously have to eat regularly. When it came to paying I did not have sufficient cash so I offered a debit card. They scornfully told me that I had not spent enough for a card, the bill was £8.95. There was no notice displayed in the restaurant and they didn't think that it was necessary to do this. They eventually, reluctantly agreed to accept the card. The card machine refused to accept my pin, and they said that I hadn't pushed the button to verify if I wanted to give a tip. Their arrogance was paramount. I declined a tip.About 8 hours after eating I started getting stomach pains, and i was extremely ill on Monday. Spoilt my holiday.Clive Porter
