What a great meal. Lovely busy pub, great service and my Sunday roast was simply yummy! really good value for money. I would definitely go again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Went to the kings stag with 4 of my friends . Everyone was delighted with their food especially my friend who ordered the pork belly I ordered fish of the day which probably could have been a bit hotter . Prices are average . Wasn’t too crowded but I preferred it that way .. Will def be going back

This is the place to go for roast!! Second time going on Sunday and it has been fantastic both times. Everyone loved their meals and even the vegetarian was delighted saying the lentil nut roast was insanely good. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Only warning, don’t trust the website with bookings. It said it was full but when we called they organised a table for us so don’t be afraid to call to double check. Would 100% recommend it!

Nice dinner with out grandaughter. Quiet and very good. We had chosen local cooking cottage pie and beef stew. Very nice and generous. Nice typical place with children till 8 p.m

This was the first time I attended The King Stag with the recommendation of my wife. We came with our kids and dog for a Sunday lunch. The staff and the service were fantastic, they were very attentive and ensured that we always had everything that we needed during our visit. The atmosphere was great for a Sunday family pub lunch so can't complain. I would say that the food was delicious, however, it did not come out hot, basically luke warm as it must've sat until we finished our starters. My wife sent hers back to get warmed up but I didn't as it was on a bun and it would've just gotten soggy so just ate it. Also, for a pub lunch I felt it was a bit overpriced for a kids menu especially with the portion size and the kids didn't really like it but we took it home and our son ate it so it wasn't wasted. Overall though, it's a very nice pub, great service and I'm sure on most days the food is outstanding...will visit again and would recommend to anyone! FYI...some of the best onion rings I've ever had anywhere!!
