It was lovely food, lovely surrounding...and very reasonable prices - you must go and try

The last reviewer was correct - the less people that know about it the better for those who have been enjoying it for years!!

My husband and his cronies go every Thursday, and I always suggest a take-away once a week as well. It's hard to find a better curry anywhere. Thanks for being in Holmfirth!

Fantastic - time and time again. We've worked our way through much of the menu now and have always been impressed. We have our firm favourites now and look forward to our weekly visit. This is THE Indian restaurant in Holmfirth.

Great little boozer in the heart of Meltham. The landlord's a character, and there's generally a good, lively atmosphere. There is also a taxi firm next door, so you can grab a cab if you have a few too many.

this was the first time we had been to the fox house and we would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a good freshly cooked meal a nice change from all the chain menus around today excellent value for money, our only criticism would be wear a jumper because the dining room was a bit chilly

If this is the correct site for The Fleece at Holme.I can't believe no one has yet said what an excellent pub this is for good food and atmosphere. Perhaps they want to keep it to themselves!

We called in as we were passing and were welcomed. Coal fire! The grub was excellent. The Theakstons bitter was ambrosia.

Eaten here a number of times and never had a bad meal! Kids like it because they can play in the children? area outside! Steaks are good and the fish is very good- all food seems to be prepared fresh - so sometimes there is a bit of a wait when it? busy - but it? worth it! As VFM (value for money) goes - it? well worth it!

Although the restaurant was fairly quiet (for a Monday), the whole package was pretty decent ! I recommend the Fillet Steak with Brandy/Pepper sauce - that was Outstanding !!

Once you have tried this marvellous restaurant, you will certainly look forward to your next visit!! The food is of high quality, with a very extensive, mouth watering menu (making it impossible to choose!). Service is remarkable, with friendly and helpful staff running this family restaurant. What more can you ask for?.........
