Fantastic place, all the cats were really friendly and most importantly, they all seemed very happy. Staff was lovely!! We had cakes, coffee and hot chocolate and they were super tasty. A lovely cat cafe, run by fantastic and dedicated people and all for a great cause. Cannot recommend it enough!

What a fab place. Beautiful, well loved and cared for cats. Cats and coffee, two of my favourite things. Lovely vibe cafe, staff/volunteers are so welcoming and chilled. Would recommend. A true treat with a hint of therapy to escape the hustle and bustle of life and all done under the umbrella of a wonderful charity.

This little gem is now one of our fave places for coffee and cake. The cakes are yummy, the hot drink selection is great and there’s a good range of cold drinks. The venue is lovely and the cats are super cute!! The staff (volunteers) are also super helpful and friendly.

The staff are lovely at Jackson’s cat rescue cafe. One staff member in particular (I didn’t catch her name) was so lovely. She took the time to stand and chat for a while to tell me and my daughter the names of the cats and all about their personalities and what they do there at the rescue. It was really nice to learn about all the cats. Coffee was great, cake was great and the cats were really sociable.

Excellent cafe! I was so impressed with the staff, the welcome, the service. The cats are chilled and seem happy. I love that there are no kids around harassing the cats unlike other cafes. And the drinks are so cheap! Less than £7 for a coffee and 2 soft drinks. We didn’t eat so can’t rate the food

Ate there last Friday. The food was devine and the staff were on hand all the time. On top of that the food was half price with our voucher. Superb night. You know when you still have a good taste in your mouth the day after! I'll certainly be visiting again.

Holiday Inn Express Hoylake – Hoylake
Wirral Foodie

This restaurant has been a favourite of ours for years - I'm not sure why we haven't left a review before!Lino's has been run by the same family for many years and has evolved over time and offers truly brilliant food from around the world but focusing on predominantly Mediterranean cuisine.A warm welcome awaited us as always and the opportunity to have an aperitif in the waiting area whilst perusing the menu and listening to the evening's specials. Our order was taken efficiently before we were then shown to our table. The menu is seasonally adjusted and stays fresh as a consequence. Their set lunch is outstanding value for money. We enjoyed great food and wine, served pleasantly and efficiently and the entire party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. An extensive and affordable wine list was on offer as was a generous list of home-made desserts to round off our evening! All in all - brilliantly executed! Thanks. It’s no surprise that this establishment has won the many awards that adorn it’s walls.Lino's is a must when visiting Hoylake - A true hidden treasure!

We have dined at The Portrait House on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed it. Recently, I held a surprise birthday party there for my wife. Everything was organised by The Portrait House and the whole event was just perfect. I cannot thank them enough. They arranged live music, welcome drinks, provided a really excellent buffet - not the usual sausage rolls and sandwiches, etc., and the price was very reasonable indeed. I wholeheartedly recommend The Portrait House.

This is the friendliest bar on the Wirral. Kate and Phil are a lovely couple who make everyone welcome. Haven't eaten here yet but their wine is really good and it's very reasonably priced - under £4 for a large Sauvignon Blanc!

We just an excellent meal, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The decor is very tasteful and all in all a very nice place. Very sensibly priced, the Christmas menu is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Very confusing mid-week offers , some on a-la-carte , others on table d'hote , some before 7pm , some on new menu only , some on July only , another one with a 10% discount on 3rd course. Then we're told by the owner that we can mix & match the menus , then were told by the waitresses that we cannot . How can we get 10% on one menu , if we mix them. Also, £17.50 for mixed grill , which took 3 lines of narrative to be described on the menu , but when it appeared looked like something from a childs menu , with hardly a pick on the chop and one mouthful at most on the other meat.Very disappointing. Response from owner when contacted was" I can't do anything now" . Julian I think you could if you wanted to. I wasn't fooled by all this fine dining nonsense and the owner coming round the tables. Also, owner seemed to begrudge us an extra round of bread , implying we were taking liberties. Isn't he taking liberties giving misleading flowery descriptions on his menus and then serving up pitiful portions. To answer his question , yes , my 13 year old nephew was also disappointed with his mixed grill, telling me there wasn't enough to eat. We have to try and fill up on bread. One word - Rip-off.

I went for a meal on a friday night at 7:30 to the 'portrait house' and it was absolutely wonderful! Having never written a review before i was compelled by my lovely experience. Great atmosphere, great menu, very high standard of food and service. Only disappointment were the puddings, sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles. They were not as superb as the rest of the food. Most likely bought in, but we were so full by then it didn't really matter! Great place - highly recommended!

We couldn't get a table at the 'normal' eating times on a saturday night so were booked in at 6. We weren't the only ones there, a large party and at least 3 other couples which shows the popularity of the place. The decor was modern and fresh but created an intimate atmosphere with a dining layout on different levels and a mixture of booths and tables. The food was fantastic! My partner had the ribs to start and they were the cleanest looking ribs after he finished! I had a very generous piece of Tuna for my main that I couldn't finish. Neither of us had space to try the puddings. To put it simply, we will be going back.
