Lovely olde pub, very cosy , friendly staff and good value food

We went for a meal On Christmas Eve and thoroughly enjoyed all of our food . It was of a very highly standard . Service was excellent and will definitely return .

We had a fabulous Christmas lunch at the best pub in Keyston. Quality of food was exceptional, with some nice extra touches (quiz cards; free cheese board). Apple tart was up to the standards of the best rural French patisserie. Cheery service from the lovely Liv. Outstanding cocktails from the Northern barman.

Me and my wife have been going to the pheasant for a number off years now as my wife was brought up in the village. The village itself is a magical place and the pheasant is the best pub for food in the uk

Nice to have the Pheasant back . Food and atmosphere were great and service excellent.

We had a delicious lunch from the set Lunch Menu. We both had the parsnip soup with homemade bread, which was very comforting in the cold weather. My husband had sausages, mash & red cabbage and I had beer battered fish & chips with mushy peas. Everything was so well cooked and we could not fault any of it. We just had coffee for pudding as too full up from dinner! The Pheasant staff make you very welcoming & safe and we will certainly be making a return visit very soon.

Christmas Eve, full menu with nothing Christmas themed whatsoever -excellent! So, thank you everyone working at the Pheasant for fabulous dining, great, friendly service and an honest appreciation of how wonderful it is to be able to dine out in style again. Good selection on the menu - well presented food, capably and patiently looked after by staff. Over past 40 years have never been disappointed at the Pheasant.

What a delight to meet up with aged parents during a pandemic at such a great location. Very welcoming, fab food and service and I should know having spent 35 years in hospitality. Well worth the 259 mile round trip. I hope they are still there for us when things get back to some kind of normality. Thank you.

Great food and service our first visit.

Another fantastic meal. In current climate with covid my party felt really safe. The staff were excellent and attentive with no rush placed on us. The food was really of a very high standard and enjoyed by all. When I booked I mentioned we had too with food allergies, one Gluten free and one cream. The maitre'd brough our menus and explained exactly where these two allergies existed so they could make their own judgement, this was really appreciated. Would thouroughly recommend.

Great food. The beef was delicious. Lovely staff and fab setting. Will be recommending to all.
