Excellent Sunday Lunch. Not at all rush but very efficient service. Very reasonable price and lots of choice. I can definitely recommend The Pheasant.

Fab food, lovely atmosphere as ever and great service!

Charming atmosphere in a quiet village with ample seating for luncheons, or extended family meals. Amazing food with a wide selection. They make one of the best bread puddings I've ever had. Cozy fireplace area to sit at while waiting for others to arrive. I've made reservations several times here when senior management is in town. They have been impressed with The Pheasant every time and request it on return trips.

The Pheasant has always been a favourite but due to recent recent restrictions not able to return until recently. A really enjoyable lunch with a friend and enjoyed delicious food, reasonably priced and served by friendly, helpful staff. A lovely place to return to and we will.

Imaginative dishes using top quality ingredients beautifully cooked and presented in a fine old thatched inn (which has a great history of provided good food and wine). Fine range of wines, many by the glass. None of this comes comes cheap but represents fine value. Throw in good and friendly service and the result is a winning combination. Chef Martin really knows his trade. The Pheasant deserves to be a considerable and ongoing success, but whisper it quietly; I want to be able to get a table!

Lovely lunch-time meal from the set menu. Good value. Well presented and delicious. Pleasant atmosphere helped by the friendly and supportive staff.. A totally enjoyable experience. We shall definitely return!

Very nice lunch for 4

We have had two occasions to come the The Pheasant recently. Both times the food has been superb and the service has been fantastic. There is excellent attention to covid guidance and we felt safe and welcomed. The menu is different from usual pub food and the ambianceand decor of the pub both inside and outside is lovely.

Lovely from start to finish; friendly welcome, beautifully served drinks, extensive menu choice and superb food. All in a fabulous setting.

The Pheasant is a simly a wonderful place to have Sunday lunch. I have had lunch there twice recently, both times the staff have been extremely polite.The food is top class and reasonably priced . The place has had a lovely quality makeover, I take my hat off to the owners for doing a such good job. I can't wait to take more friends there.

An exciting menu with well put together dishes. We really enjoyed dining at the Pheasant, the food was excellent quality. The waiting staff, although young, were also very attentive and polite. They smiled and made eye contact! The meal and drinks are not inexpensive but the Pheasant has always been a premium location.

Lovely lunch and atmosphere but felt a bit hurried to have lunch and move on

First rate restaurant like it used to be with a menu far-removed from the standard pub fare found in other so-called gastro pubs. Food cooked to absolute perfection and very good value for money. Excellent range of wines and ales as well. The only slight negative I would give is to do with the fact that there is no illumination along the footpath to the car park which is a bit of a problem in the dark. Make sure you've got a torch of some kind!

The Pheasant continues to be our favourite dining pub anywhere. The food, beer, wine, atmosphere and service are always perfect. It’s not an inexpensive pub, but you get your money’s worth in every respect.

Brilliant lunch again at The Pheasant. Good food, efficient and friendly service and 10/10 for bringing the mixers to the table rather than drowning the drinks. A gem.

2nd visit in a week. Loved this place before it closed in early 2020. Love it even more now. The location is fantastic. The building is fantastic. The ambience is fantastic. The food is super fantastic. The service is super super fantastic. Yes, you'll pay a bit more here than elsewhere, but worth it. Zoe and Martin, you should be extremely pleased and proud of what you have achieved at The Pheasant. For sure, we will be back.
