Splendid meal on Sunday, last covers of the day. Only two dishes not available by 3.45, both mine! Didn’t detract from the experience at all. Unfussy but attentive service, reasonably priced and beautifully cooked Sunday lunches so congratulations to the re-born Pheasant which we have patronised for 34 years since moving to Raunds. Part of a 70th birthday celebration weekend, thanks very much

Having eaten at The Pheasant for almost 50 years, I have seen it under a number of managers. This week was the first time we have returned under the new management. It was pleasant, but I object to been referred to as 'You Guys', especially as we paid almost £50.00 per head. This sort of greeting I would expect in a fast food outlet ! I agree, we are of a 'certain age', but, in hopefully the quality restaurant you are trying to achieve there should be a certain standard of service. Food was acceptable, if not somewhat on the high side Refurbishment is good, and the outside eating area looked very pleasant, but there was a lack of 'atmosphere' rather stark ,cold and clinical Maybe we were unlucky and will certainly return again soon.

We’ve been three times over the past few weeks - twice for dinner which was very good, and once for Sunday lunch which I wouldn’t recommend. My one criticism is that the menu gets rather monotonous. I much prefer a small menu of things cooked well, but it needs changing regularly.

Really enjoyed our lunch with friends. Staff very helpful & attentive to my allergy issues. Like the new brighter airy look & feel to the place. Garden & car park smart and spacious Will be back - firm favourite.

As enjoyable as in the old days and much brighter decor. Thought Garden looked great and food was very good.

Dined at Pheasant, Keyston last night. Really disappointed to find no heating or even an open fire. Sitting in a cold bar and then the same in the dining room makes for an uncomfortable evening. The service was very poor. Waiting far too long for first drink to be served. New decor in dining room adds nothing to the atmosphere. The food was very good but some basic changes need to be made for this restaurant to be a success.

First time back to The Pheasant since it had changed hands. It was good to see that it was back to its old standards, the food was excellent and the staff were very good as well. The place has had a make over and it is now much brighter inside and a very good outside seating/dining area has been created. We had the set lunch which is very good value for money. I look forward to returning.

We ate here very recently and were pleased and reassured that Covid protocols were still in place: all staff wore face masks, as did we when entering and leaving; tables were still we looking spaced. The food, as always, was excellent and we had an enjoyable and relaxed evening.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on our way back from Leeds and found The Pheasant on Google maps. Booking online was very straightforward. We were made very welcome and had two good meals and some interesting local beers. My husband particularly enjoyed his hake which was simple but tasty. A great find.

Beautiful place, Brilliant service from the moment we walked to the bar to the moment we left. Food was outstanding, the meals aren’t huge which is nice the chef is more about taste . 5 star all around , well done.

We last eat at the “pheasant ” on the last day before closure, pre Covid and ownership change. On Friday 27th of August. Firstly we were very impressed with the outside dining developments including a great car parking facilities. Inside the reworking is superb bright and aired. We had a super, set 3 -course lunch ,which was excellent, wonderful food , great service and perfectly priced. You will see us again and again. Thanks to all.

Four of us had a family Saturday lunch in the garden, We were surprised so few people joined us as the weather was that perfect “not too hot, not too cold” and the views out over the countryside are lovely. Starters were excellent, and the mains solidly “good” and, most importantly, well cooked. It would be great if there were a few more vegetarian/vegan options but the ones that were on the menu were well received by the veggies in the party. The meal was fair value for the quality provided (I think they hit the mark just about right) and the service was excellent. We will be back.

The whole experience was excellent. The place has a lovely warm welcoming feel about it. Everything about the evening was first class, the staff were professional, friendly and attentive. We had a selection of starters, mains and puddings all of which were highly by us. This is a lovely place to visit but it's the staff and the food which makes the experience so memorable.

I booked Sunday lunch and I must say the food, cost and staff were excellent. They had a large car park so there were no worries for parking. They looked like they had spent lock down wisely as the place had an excellent makeover. I had a drive of 45minutes to get there and it was well worth the journey. Would I go there again.? Definitely.
