I cannot praise The Pheasant more highly. I hadn’t been here for a few years and it only reopened 3 weeks ago under new management. It has been completely refurbished with a stunning garden area and lovely views. The menu was very comprehensive and the service above and beyond. Went with 2 friends and we had a super leisurely meal outside. Although everyone else had gradually drifted away, we were so happy sitting in the lovely garden we had long since settled the bill but the staff kept bringing us jugs of iced water (very hot day) and said there was absolutely no rush for us to leave. Superb afternoon and I would and will recommend to everyone. I wish the new management well and hope to return soon.

Well it was wonderful to return to the pheasant the outside area is beautiful to match the food with a varied choice The service from the new young staff was on point and attentive we look forward to seeing you all again soon Keep up the great work

It was great to return to The Pheasant on its reopening. The menu was interesting and varied, with a choice of 5 starters and 6 main courses, which included fish, meat or vegetarian choices and the prices were reasonable. We got the impression that food was cooked to order and not just microwaved! The welcome was friendly and the staff attentive. The outside area (we were inside) looked lovely and well organised. We shall definitely go again and take the family and thoroughly recommend it. We wish Zoe and Martin every success.

Great food at a reasonable price . Couldn’t manage the full 3 course menu on Sunday so had the starter and main course which was plenty for me and my wife. £19 a head good value. All the staff very polite and attentive

A nice Sunday lunch with friends in a pleasant atmosphere. There was a lovely buzz of people enjoying themselves. The menu was concise but provided enough choice. The food was well presented and served by a willing team. What else could you ask for? Martin and Zoe deserve support, we will be back soon!

Always hesitant after closure and reopening, but it was as good as ever.

Keen to try the newly reopened Pheasant 5 of us ate here on Thursday evening 4th June. Pre closure we used to eat here regularly and I’m happy to report it’s every bit as good as it ever was. The new decor and reworked internal layout works really well and the new car park is a huge improvement. Now to the food; all 5 of us declared our choices a complete success, delicious. The service was extremely good, speedy and efficient and all with a smile. Go on book now!!

Great to see the pub up and running again. The renovations look fab and they served wonderful food with a good atmosphere!

Lovely to have the restaurant back in action and refreshed decor, good rear patio, food was very seasonal and very well cooked. Will be back many times.

Had a fabulous meal on opening evening. Really good food, good service and a lovely place to spend an evening. Inside and out, very lovely pub and restaurant

We were keen to return to this dining pub , which has always been one of our favourites. We had an excellent meal with great selection of wines . Even though the pub had only just reopened , the service was friendly and efficient. The bread and butter pudding with marmalade topping was huge and wonderful.

My husband and I had our first going out for lunch experience since lockdown March 2020. What a treat to go back to the Pheasant. The food was fabulous, scallops and the pea soup for our starters were the highlight, well, and the main course and pud! Very relaxed atmosphere. Very long wait for our drinks on arrival, our food had been ordered before they came, but hey ho, newly opened, new team etc etc! Have booked again, and fingers crossed the scallops will be on!

Delighted to see the Pheasant open again and it didn't disappoint. Food was absolutely delicious, a good wine list and attentive service.

Don’t go here if you want to be served eaten and out in 45 minutes. This is a wonderful place for relaxed dining. Lunch on Saturday - the day after they opened was superb. Great Choice of food and when it came to table it was excellent. Lovely people at service , you could tell they where nervous but only because they wanted to give their best. Book soon. This place will be booked out in months to come if Saturday was any guide. Exceptional value for money also........but the food was superb!
