Lovely venue & staff were friendly and attentive. We chose from the Christmas set menu which had a good choice. My friend had the salmon which looked succulent & she said tasted delicious. I opted for the Cajun pork which was a little disappointing . Not very easy to cut ( I should have asked for a steak knife ) lovely flavour though & I would have liked crispy crackling. Would definitely eat here again.

Business lunch on Weds 7th Dec ‘22 - nicely busy with a lovely atmosphere. Menu had a good variety of food and plenty of choice without being overwhelming. The 3 of us all chose different mains and deserts , all excellent including the service despite being busy. Nothing to argue on the the price either. Be back soon!

Nice place, slightly expensive food and wine but good quality with excellent pleasant service. One minor niggle, despite a fixed price lunch menu supposedly being available we were not offered it and as result paid rather more than might otherwise have been the case. Wasn't aware at time of visit that it applied on a Wednesday otherwise I would have requested it, so my fault, but nevertheless .... Difficult times so hard to begrudge them I suppose.

7 of us had our Christmas lunch this week. We had a variety of dishes between us and everything was great. The food and service were great and the staff were so very kind and helpful. We will be back after Christmas.

Lovely meal at The Pheasant on Sunday. Delicious food - roast beef & starters. However: 1) Service was 'lacking' - I had to ask a member of staff 3 times to e.g. order drinks/see menus etc. 2) It was very slow service but that's not unusual in hospitality these days post cv19. 3) Sadly the main course (roast beef dinner) wasn't as hot as it should have been. 4) Usually a member of staff would come around asking if everything was ok but that didn't happen - I guess the venue was busy & possibly short staffed... We had planned to order desserts but, given the delays, we just ordered teas/ coffees. 5) Large glass wine expensive - over £10 but that seems the going rate these days tho deters anyone from having more than one glass! We will be back however in the new year in anticipation of a hot meal & improved service!

Delicious Christmas meal for 6 of us - between us we sampled the whole menu and everyone thought every dish was delicious. My duck was utterly delicious. Service friendly and efficient - my 4th meal here this year and they’ve all been excellent.

What a pleasant pub. Met my granddaughter there for lunch…welcomed and taken to our table where we enjoyed a very good soup and a good salmon starter followed by crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding both of which were excellent. As there was a rather noisy party next to us, we enjoyed chatting in comfy chairs with tea and coffee in the bar . The service was both friendly and efficient and there was a very good atmosphere.

Enjoyable surroundings. Kind, helpful and charming staff and lovely foo. My duck was cooked just right and so tasty. Too much for this old man. Shall come again. Well done.

I vivited on the last day in November to avoid xmas stuff and menues. All 4 of us were really delighted, by both the food , the welcome, the service, and the atmosphere. One of us using a wheelchar was made most comfortable. I though the choice of all 3 indulgent courses was absolutely delightful, it was very hard to chose, and finally I had 2 starters and a glorious pudding. I had not been to The Phesant for ages and was very impressed indeed. We shall certainly go back soon. Finally, the loo is fabulous. Lis

Having been a customer for over 50 years, I have never once been disappointed. Ate there on Saturday night with friends, a couple of us had fish, that was perfection, likewise with the mussels. Great selection of wine in a quintessential British Village Pub.

We have been dining at the Pheasant for around 40 years - unfortunately this was our first visit since the Covid outbreak. Sunday lunch was as good as ever. The four of us all enjoyed fantastic three courses with excellent service. The only exception was the roast pork - two very thin and tasteless slices; roast beef was very good. We will be back…..

I booked for Sunday lunch with friends and, as ever, the food was delicious. You’re always made to feel very welcome here and the staff are very friendly. Oh, and they have a huge wine list!!
