Great place to shop for high quality produce in the Lakes.
Low Sizergh Barn – KendalMy Partner and I eat at the Wheatsheaf at least once a month and have only just stumbled across sugarvine and are truly amazed that the Wheatsheaf doesn't have a lot more reviews, The food and the service are always first class and everyone I mention the Wheatsheaf to agrees with me!! Keep up the good work Lee & Kate (& little Dan too)
The Wheatsheaf Inn – Kendalbeen going there for years its brilliant staff very chatty food superb best in Kendal other places in Kendal can be pricey Finkles is vfm. Don't miss out on great food
Finkles – KendalI absolutely loved this gastro pub. The food was cooked to perfection with a huge choice on of menu's. We could actually taste the freshness of everything we ate, service was friendly and smiley and the waiter and waitress really created a lovely atmosphere by chatting with us all. all in all a very enjoyable visit, we just wish we lived nearer!
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalI think this has to be one of the nicest Italians I have ever been too.The food and service are fantastic. The bar at the side sphere is packed and has a very nice clientele definitely will return and tell my friends.
Paulo Giannis Ristorante Italiano – Kendaldon't go if your veggie ordered butternut squash rissotto, not on then requested veg lasagna not on then in desperation ordered baked potato and baked beans can you believe they had no beans really bad service treated like aliens not veggies we have stayed three times b4 there seems to be new owner who has a distinct dislike of veggies unlike the last three visits that were great
Gilpin Bridge Inn – KendalWe have eaten here since it was first opened and have never been disappointed Visited last week and had the best salad with chicken I have ever tasted. The freshness and quality was so apparent......and you cannot often say that about lettuce! The staff was nice and friendly too, long may ATRISAN stay one of my favourite places to eat.
Booths Cafe – KendalA recent visit left me wishing i lived closer to this lovely pub. A warm welcome and really friendly staff with delicious uncomplicated food, a great choice of beer for my husband and wine for me meant we really enjoyed our meal here, it knocked the socks of other places in the area. we will definitely be back with friends.
The Strickland Arms – KendalWent here on May Bank holiday & had a very nice lunch, all local sourced food / organic.Lots of choice & lots of choice for vegetarians. Highly recommend it :-)
Low Sizergh Barn – KendalExcellent traditional pub food, I found the service fantastic, with a great deals on the food. Large portions with locally sourced produce a must visit in Kendal
Fantastic restaurant. Chilled atmosphere (very Italian) child friendly (again, typically Italian) excellent menus, with traditional italian meals. (No Chicken Jalfrezi Deep Pan muck here!) and the friendliest staff in Cumbria. I've eaten in many places in Italy from Venice in the north, down as far as Palermo in the south, and this is the closest I've seen the experience replicated in this country. If that's not enough, the £5.95 PIzza/Pasta and glass of wine deal is an absolute bargain. If I was to be really picky, I would just say that it's a shame they don't open on Sundays all year round, but hey that's a small price to pay for living near the best Italian restaurant for miles around. Give yourself a treat and visit soon.
Infusion – KendalThis establishment is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The appearance is warm and cosy. The food is delicious and looked mouth watering. I would recommend this fine establishment to all country lovers. It is a very child friendly place.
Eagle and Child Hotel – KendalThis riverside cafe was charming and Toni and her staff were friendly and helpful. I need to eat gluten-free and so I was in heaven because they had several GF choices (including bread). I had Cassoulet, a French style bean stew, on a jacket potato with three salads. My husband had Turkish Pilaf with lentils and rice. Both dishes were terrific! They used fresh ingredients, and the food was cooked and spiced perfectly. We're from California where vegetarian food is all the rage. Waterside has some of the the best veggie cuisine we've ever had.
Waterside Cafe – Kendalbeen down to this place , very nice modern restaurant with mind blowing dishes!, my girlfriend and me had candlelight on the table very busy but excellent food! But most of all the staff very very help full top lads ill be in saturday!! Curry curry curry !! First Indian to be opened in kendal 15years ago and now still the best!
Eastern Balti – KendalI would like to recommend the Wheatsheaf, the food there was of the high quality the service was excellent, the next time I visit the UK the Wheatsheaf will one of the first places I would like to stay and dine, wonderful place.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalWe stopped in Kendal for one night and ate at the New Moon. Their early evening menu has a very good choice of dishes and is excellent value for money. We will definitely go back when we next go to the lakes.
La Luna – KendalA varied rotating selection of daily specials complements the standard bill of fare. Flexible and helpful with people with allergies.
Waterside Cafe – KendalWe live in town and have tried most restaurants, the New Moon is our favourite. Food and service great.
