Been to the Pheasant three times this year and impressed every time. It has an excellent menu and my biggest dilemma was what to order because there were so many options I could have chosen. Hearty food, service with a smile. Nice atmosphere and a proper pub feel even for a gastro pub. Got the balance right. Well done. I will return and work my way through the menu.

A cracking meal, great service good quality food and plenty of it. Would highly recommend.

Lovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we stepped in the door , all staff were great we had a drink on arriving in Keswick and sat by a welcoming roaring fire , we booked Sunday lunch too on our stay for Mother’s Day they were really busy and we had to wait a little while for our table but as soon as it was ready they couldn’t do enough and were very apologetic , the food was great and plentiful, highly recommended

We booked to come online as we do not know the area. We have a lovely sunny lunch and so much to eat. The was staff was lovely. It was definitely value for money. When we come back to Keswick we will definitely call in again. Thank you

What a great find! We were staying at Keswick for the weekend. I found the Pheasant Inn on Apple Maps, and the reviews were good so I booked. It didn't disappoint. Great food and a lovely bottle of Malbec, and two happy punters slept very well that night. I would definitely recommend the Pheasant Inn, and look forward to coming back.

Fabulous food at a reasonable price well worth a visit.

Booked for a very early evening, took our 2 well behaved dogs. Staff were friendly and food was very good and promptly served, except for dessert. The order was unfortunately not sent to the kitchen until we chased it up. It was however delicious. Shame because top marks were certainly on the cards.

We visit The Lakes every year and staying locally have become regular visitors and diners at The Pheasant. I would go so far as saying it is consistently the best pub food we know. Service, portion sizes, quality and variety are always excellent and there is always a convivial and welcoming atmosphere. The cask ales are always in tip-top condition as well and we never leave feeling without being full and delighted to have returned again.

We always book to eat at The Pheasant when we visit Keswick. On this occasion we were very disappointed with the service. We were not acknowledged for 25 minutes. My sister in law eventually got up and asked one of the waiters if he could serve us so at least we could have a drink and he said I’ll come over, but can’t you see we’re busy!! The waiter gave us a large glass of wine for the price of a medium glass by way of apology, but we felt disappointed anyway in spite of that. We have been before when the restaurant has been completely full and we have always been welcomed with a smile and our drinks order has been taken practically immediately. We were given the sweet menu and then nobody came to take our order, so after waiting another 20 minutes we got up, went to the bar and paid.

First visit to the pheasant on Sunday Lovely Sunday lunch plenty of meat and cheesy leeks were delicious. Pub had good atmosphere lovely roaring fire in the bar visited as a couple 1 dog staff very pleasant did think it was tad pricey but we were in the lakes £17.95 for Sunday lunch £8.95 dessert would def return though think we bit out of touch with prices x
