Warm welcome from the staff & the roaring log fires. Great ambience. Wonderfully varied menu and good portions. Food was excellent. A great selection of real ales too. This place is a gem, and the place to go to get great English food in an traditional Lakeland pub. We’ve been visiting for years & will continue to do so. Best hearty meals in Keswick by far!

Once again a delicious dinner at horse and farrier. Featherblade beef was wonderful and desserts delicious. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Excellent carefully prepared food. Not especially expensive - might benefit from an itemised bill but otherwise I recommend this lovely 300 year old Inn.

Called in for lunch and there was a good choice of freshly made, traditional pub food. Friendly, welcoming staff. The food was really tasty, presented well, and was very good value for money. Next time we're in Keswick will definitely make a return visit. Would recommend it to everyone. Well done to all staff.

One of my favourite places to eat. The food is phenomenal, and the pub is so cozy. The staff are always very kind and welcoming. Cannot recommend enough!

Our second visit to this Pub.....because we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. We booked on both occasions, as it is a very busy venue, so a reservation is recommended. We visited late (7.30pm/ 8pm), as its our choice, so Sunday roasts were not available, however, what we had off the menu was lovely.

A Google search recommended this place for Sunday lunch, we on the other hand would not. The food lacked flavour and the meats were cold. The staff were pleasant enough.

Disappointed! We booked for 5.30pm on a Sunday, expecting to be able to enjoy a lovely Sunday roast. But they only serve this at lunchtime. Out choice was pie dishes and other non Sunday roast meals. The staff were squabbling, nobody seemed to know where anyone was sitting. We were put right beside the draft door and busy area. Had our drink, then left and easily found another pub in Keswick who were serving a Sunday roast. I wouldn't recommend....

What a wonderful, authentic and super place. Unassuming from the outside but busy, wholesome Lakeland hospitality within. Great menu, specials too. Busy place (a Saturday night). Felt a bit frantic when we arrived, but was just fantastic to hear later in the evening as we tucked into our food (we were by the door) the owner trying to find a table more than once for those who turned up on spec without reservations. Trying hardest to accommodate, with reference to her notebook! Brilliant hospitality ethos. Every customer counts in these challenging times for pubs. Lovely food, lively homely pub atmosphere. One to book if in the area, especially after a long day walking.

This is our second time visiting Pheasant Inn and we were not disappointed, food is lovely and pub very cosy with open log burner. Very busy but can only put this down to the good food

Service and allocated table was first class, my wife’s lamb Henry was very good, I had the beef pie which could be better. I’m afraid the chips are diabolical, I had the baby potatoes instead because I knew from a previous visit what the chips were like. That said as there are 5 of us the consensus was that we would return

We had a lovely meal. The pub was busy with a great atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive despite being so busy. We visit every year and always receive excellent service, especially from Keith who is so friendly. We had beautifully cooked lamb shank and the best sticky toffee pudding. Can’t wait to return again soon.

Food was tasty and hot..unfortunately the service on the evening we visited let them down and stopped us from booking again. Appeared to be too many bookings for the team to cope with and mistakes happened.
