Friends recommended The Pheasant to us and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff attentive but not intrusive. We’ll definitely book again next time we’re in Keswick.

Excellent Sunday lunch. The lamb Henry fell off the bone and the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world.

The chef is the only onse I know who cooks a steak just as I want it.

First time at this menu and I cannot praise staff and quality of food ..11/10...top job..defo re visit

They have Old Peculiar, which I haven't tasted for nearly 50 years and I may be back to taste it. I will not comment on the food, since we will not be eating any more of it. The staff are lovely, funny, lively and helpful.

As per usual food was delicious I had the black pudding starter and chicken and leek pie for mains my partner had the steak pie beautiful pastry and veg was cooked to perfect Lovely staff too would recommend when visiting Keswick

Had Sunday lunch here and as usual, the food was superb and the service was quick and friendly. Just a shame we were too stuffed to manage a sweet. Will definitely be back next time we are in the vicinity.

Good selection of beers and great food including the daily specials. Service was also really good. We had a great dinner and will definitely visit the pheasant Inn again when we return to Keswick.

Had a lovely sunday lunch here, polite and friendly staff. Plenty of dog friendly tables. Definitely worth visiting again, and will do so in the near future

Excellent food and service as always

We have eaten at the Pheasant numerous times and always enjoyed our meal. Very friendly staff and quick service. Will definitely return when we are next in Keswick.

We had a very enjoyable evening.

Absolutely loved the fish pie which is very rarely seen on pub menus usually just the same old boring steak and burgers. Service was very good, staff coudnt do enough and always smiling, piping hot meal and generous portions , would definitely go back

5 of us had an excellent meal, starters to die for. The one downside and this is not limited to the Pheasant but most eateries in my opinion are the chips, it would be nice to have proper chip shop style chips with flavour

After a recommendation we booked a table for Sunday lunch. Was seated straight away. Waited 30 minutes for our meal and had to remind a staff member that we were waiting. Food was pipping hot and tasty. Would have preferred more vegetables but that’s just a personal opinion.

The meal was lovely apart from the gammon steak, on the tough side and egg fried too hard. The prawn cocktail was best I've ever had as was garlic mushrooms and smoked black pudding bon buns. Will return. ⅞

Having come here for several years on our annual visit to the Lakes and been very satisfied with the food, but not so this time. Food was generally not up to their usual standard, they forgot one of the starters, forgot to serve vegetables for two dishes, the one portion of chips ordered were undercooked and they had run out of mango chutney for the ordered curry! However one member of the serving team did his best to look after us, but it looked like they had problems in the kitchen.
