Pack Horse Inn – KeswickVisited here last Wed 4th May lovely decor and friendly staff tasted the best lasagna ever. My son enjoyed the wild boar and husband enjoyed the chicken pizza will return again.
Luca’s Ristorante – KeswickAn extremely friendly and well run restaurant. The food was both inventive and delicious, beautifully presented and certainly fresh. A really wide choice of flavours on offer with particular attention to 'foraging' finds. The staff were informative and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Well priced too, a three course meal at £30.00 was bursting with flavour, variety and colour. Our family enjoyed an extremely warm welcome back on our 2nd visit, much the same as our 1st. Can't wait to go and be spoiled again.
Cottage in the Wood – Keswickgreat place, very welcoming and staff are all good with children. delicious food and brilliant service us as a family will be back and definitely recommend.. thank you Woodstone and good luck!!
Woodstone Pizza & Flame Grill – KeswickFabulous welcome, fabulous rooms and absolutely stunning food. Well prepared and intriguing in description, dishes turn out to be delicious every time. The staff are warm and friendly and everyone is approachable to he with questions and queries. We will go back again.
Cottage in the Wood – KeswickExcellent service, good quality food items, and as a Trainer/Assessor in the Hospitality Industry it is good to see places offering good quality at prices everyone can afford. Definitely recommended.
Woodstone Pizza & Flame Grill – KeswickWe enjoyed a fabulous meal at woodstone last night. The steak was one of the best we've had and the chicken Parma was delicious. We will definitely be going back and would certainly recommend it to anyone!
Woodstone Pizza & Flame Grill – KeswickLovely place, outstanding customer service, amazing food. A*******
Woodstone Pizza & Flame Grill – Keswickeven the wife says first stop is the dog and gun i'm not arguing
Dog and Gun – KeswickRip-off Britain alive and well at Grange Bridge Cottage Tea Shop. Paid over £13 for (very enjoyable) snacks for 2 but refused an extra tea bag for personal preference without additional charge!! Refused ridiculous offer and declined to leave my normal 10% tip - so hardly good business for the proprietors!!
Grange Bridge Cottage Tea Shop – KeswickThis restaurant will have to do much better if they are going to stay in business. The food is OK (just OK) But we waited an hour for our starter to arrive which hadn't required any cooking and the main course arrived 40 minutes later. The very young staff were struggling but very apologetic.
Woodstone Pizza & Flame Grill – KeswickDidn't eat in this wonderful old hotel but was stunned by the excellent spa facilities. The best I have enjoyed!
Lake View Restaurant at Armathwaite Hall – KeswickThe food and service were great until 10.15pm. We tried to order a sweet and coffee. 'Sorry, the kitchen is closed, you can only have ice cream from freezer' and 'sorry, coffee machine has been cleaned, so you can't have a coffee'. The delivery of the message verged on rude, it was obvious they wanted to go home. The restaurant says open until 10pm - why no 30 minute warning? Anyway we obliged and went home without leaving a tip!
Star Of Siam – KeswickExcellent soup and a sarnie here for lunch in the sun at the weekend. There were a couple of tables outside that we snaffled on one of the few days that the sun shone this summer. Great spot on Lake Road to watch people wander by. Its quite cool inside too and is a bar as well as serving food
Cafe Bar 26 – KeswickVisited this restaurant on the 28th August 2010. Starters menu very basic. I had the mussels in white wine and garlic, they had obviously been warmed up in the microwave and as a result had shrunk to virtually nothing and were very chewy. My husband chose the fried brie which had not been freshly made and looked like it had come out of your local supermarket freezer. Pizzas were good but at nearly £10 each were the most expensive I have had in any Italian restaurant in a long time. We didn't stay for sweets. Lot's of staff but service could have been more tentative and restaurant tables far too close together. Wouldn't recommend, there are much better restaurants in Keswick to try. No authentic Italian atmosphere, music was up to date pop!!!
Casa Bella – KeswickStayed here a few times and it is always good customer service. The place is very friendly, the food is delicious and I can bring my dog. It's the perfect place to unwind, traditional but with the modern comforts - and fantastic beds.
Borrowdale Hotel – KeswickJust to let everyone know this restaurant has been newly refurbished and now has a wine cellar in which is truly amazing, we were shown round this by the Manager (I think his name was Stephen). We ate in there both nights of our stay and will be going back very soon. There was a good choice on the menu as my wife is vegetarian and also has some allergies but this was not a problem. We will be back and thank you for a great break away.
