Lovely, charming little restaurant. Was greeted very warmly by a kind gent who introduced us to the resident dog. The space itself was homely, and our table was in the upstairs space. The food was perfect (top tip: go for warm choc brownie with the thunder and lightning ice cream for dessert). Overall a lovely experience and we'll 100% be back the next time we're in Keswick :)

Booked last minute online, turned up early and the table was ready, very quick order for drinks and food despite busy half term Friday night. Very nice food, good choice. Would recommend.

I wish we'd eaten at The Pheasant on the first night of our 3-night stay near Keswick because I would have eaten here on every night had I known how good their food is! It was very easy to make an online booking for our party of 4. Three of us had the venison bourguignon, which was superb, and the fourth loved the fish pie. There were plenty of vegetables too - can't stand places that only give you half a carrot and 1 broccoli floret but The Pheasant doesn't make that mistake. I couldn't manage a dessert but my friends assured me the crumble, which came with extra custard when requested, was delicious. No grumbles with customer service, which was good. We will certainly be back next time we're holidaying nearby.

So when arriving we had to walk over to the area near the restaurant as no one greeted us at the door. We were shown to our table and waited 25 minutes before going over to ask if we could order food and drinks as we were forgotten about. However the food was very nice. After finishing we asked for the bill 3 times before we finally got it. Shame about the service but top marks for the food

Booked online and despite being early my wife and I were shown to our reserved table. Like a lot of restaurants there are staff shortages which showed as after 20 mins we were still waiting for our drinks order to be taken! 20 mins later we managed to order our meal but unfortunately the order was mislaid so we were back to square one. The staff were very apologetic and when our food eventually arrived it was lovely. Our drinks bill was taken off our final total and again the staff were very apologetic. The bar and restaurant were very busy which begs the question why take so many bookings if you haven't got the staff to handle that number? Meal was excellent.

Excellent food and customer service

We have eaten here twice recently, once for Sunday Lunch, once for an evening meal. Both times the food and experience were excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Great cafe that is open for dinner too (check times). Very nice, friendly atmosphere. Central. Definitely worth a visit

We arrived with no prior knowledge of the Pheasant Inn. It was a delightful evening. The staff are genuine and friendly, the atmosphere is that of a real pub and the food was off the scale! It was delicious. The fish pie was as good as I’ve tasted in many a year as was the goulash. We will become regulars if this is the norm. Well done indeed (I don’t do reviews normally).

We had Sunday lunch on the late sitting. It was excellent; prompt service, fabulous food good beef and lovely fresh vegetables. Service was excellent too, even though they were very busy. Will be returning during this week. I appreciated also the option for a smaller roast, which was a good sized portion.
