Visited Saturday 17/9/22 Like many places in Keswick the Pheasant are seriously understaffed, we have eaten there many times but our latest visit fell short of there usual high standards, I hope they are able to remedy there problems soon, before it has an irreversible effect on trade

We've been coming to The Pheasant for 4 years on our trips to the Lakes. It's great food, lovely little pub and well worth a visit - book ahead and you'll be rewarded with a great menu and some superb food. Every time we visit Keswick we will eat there at least a couple of times.

Fantastic Sunday lunch in a traditional pub.

Great choice for local fare with the locals. This inn is just outside of the main tourist area of Keswick. We stayed at the fantastic Allerdale House on Eskin Street which would have been a 20 minute walk. We drove as on street parking is more than ample. My wife had the beef tips stew special with veg. I had the 21 day dry aged ribeye steak. Both the stew and the steak were cooked and flavored to perfection. This is an old inn and while they can accommodate a good number of people space is tight and reservations are a must. The menu is very diverse and there is something for everyone. The staff is friendly and the service is attentive without being over bearing. Save room for one of their incredible desserts

Had to book but well worth the wait. Lovely food and friendly, efficient staff. So nice to have some decent choices as a vegetarian instead of the usual standard offerings

We had a meal on Wednesday to celebrate my son’s graduation . Fantastic food , wonderful friendly staff . We all agreed the delicious food was the best we had ever had ! Real value for money too. As CAMRA members delighted with the ales too. A great place for a family celebration and we will be back even if we have nothing to celebrate!!

We had a meal on Sunday evening for my 65th Birthday. Everything was just perfect, we both had the Lakeland Beef Pie, which the meat melted in your mouth. Everything was cooked beautifully and the staff were all very attentive to our every need. Will definitely be back when next in the area. Thank you Keith & Annette

Had Sunday lunch after reading reviews. Went for the roast, well you have to. Very busy but arrived promptly with a good selection of vegetables. The beef was lovely and well done so people liking it pink would be disappointed. It suited us perfectly. The veg was nice but the carrots were a bit underdone. I love mash but new potatoes instead, still good Very good value at £12.50. I have to mention the cutlery, the knives were VERY blunt so slicing the ample slices of beef proved a bit difficult, need replaced.

The Pheasant Inn was recommended by our local host as where she and her family go for Sunday Roast. We were so happy to make a reservation and try our first Sunday Roast for this trip to the Lakes. The Inn is cozy and comfortable. We were disappointed to find out that one of the roast options and the Yorkshire Pudding were already sold out by the time we arrived but the Fish Pie was delicious. We would definitely try again next time we’re in town.

Our first time back in since the rebrand, everything is still excellent. Service is always wonderful and all the food is exceptional. A meal at Plant is the highlight of our day, we had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary and will be back as often as we can!

Reliably good food and interesting menu. Beer good - particularly the Pheasant Bitter New online booking is a doddle.

My husband and I visited yesterday and had a lovely meal. Staff were really welcoming, pleasant and efficient throughout. We each chose something different. I had starter of deep fried Camembert as a main and gooseberry crumble and my husband had venison and same pud. All absolutely delicious, nicely presented and ample portions. Defo will return.

The Pub was very busy when we arrived, the staff apologised for any wait we may have as they were short staffed. But the two young ladies that served us were lovely and friendly, food was as amazing as always. Our favourite place to eat in Keswick.

Excellent customer service with smiling faces. The staff are very helpful. With excellent food to die for with a fantastic menu. Completement to the chef and all the staff. I would highly recomend this country pub. With a friendly environment With call again on our return to Keswick.

Amazing meal & staff friendly & attentive. Fish pie was so full of fish as most I've tried are all potato & my hubby had one of the best rib-eyes he's tasted plus the price was so reasonable considering it is the Lake District, we will definitely return.
