Everything about this place is top draw and I mean top draw food the lot recommend to everyone very nice indeed

The afternoon tea was superb and the service was very good. Hopefully we will be looking forward to a return visit again as we enjoyed the afternoon visit very much

We had a 4 day stay at Augill Castle. On the first day we had afternoon tea which was just the right amount. I had the sweet version and my husband the savoury. On the subsequent 3 days we ate in the Music Room. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Beautifully presented and great value. I particularly liked the fact that much of the food was locally sourced and supported the local economy. Can't wait to visit again.

Lovely warm welcome to this amazing place. Really comfy room with sofas and armchairs, interesting pictures and information about the house on the walls. Tea was excellent - lovely sandwiches on very fresh bread, gorgeous cake, a mousse, shortbread and scones. We loved the crockery too. Our voucher also entitled us to a glass of very nice fizz - just enough to feel special without making me concerned for the drive home!! Joined for a whle by Maisie the dog, who just lay down and didn't bother us one bit, just added to the homely atmosphere. Thank you

My wife and I had dinner in the Music Room restaurant a couple of night ago. The service provided by the friendly staff certainly created a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. Our meals were delicious very well cooked and presented. The wine list was extensive and well priced. The only criticism we have is the dreadful generic music that is played in the music room! It did not spoil our overall enjoyment of the meal nor our evening. However, it is something that could easily be rectified. We will certainly return and would recommend this restaurant to others

Afternoon Tea in the sunshine at Augill was a lovely experience . Plenty of sandwiches and different sweet things to feast on - we even took the biscuits away to snack on later! Very relaxed welcome and friendly service which was great for us as first time visitors. Walking round the castle gardens afterwards with some great views and very friendly chickens rounded off the visit in fine style.

I was treated last week for my 70th Birthday, to afternoon tea at Augill Castle. It was so good that we could go there, as several places are not able to serve non-residents currently, due to staff shortages. A super venue... a " shabby chic" sort of comfortable and relaxing place to be ! A fabulous Castle ! I loved that we had the choice to eat inside, but then were able to enjoy the warmth in the comfy seats outside for as long as we wished, feeling absolutely no pressure to leave. The whole experience was relaxing and fun, and it was nice to chat to the staff. The actual tea was yummy ! interesting choices, from the tiny cup of soup, to the little eclairs and tiny trifles. It was different and very tasty. Thank you so much everyone....I hope to be back !

I had booked this to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday, ( as this had been changed several times due to covid we were celebrating lots of belated events) I paid for 4 , upfront. though due to covid only 3 could attend, I gave plenty of notice explaining the situation but they reassured me they would make it extra special for us , and put extras on the high tea to compensate for the missing 4 th person as I had paid for it . Unfortunately we did not get any extras , to say I was upset is an understatement! It ruined a lovely day for us . I couldn’t eat anything I was that mad , emotional and upset . Our daughter and husband said what they consumed was ok,, but the atmosphere was spoiled and they could see I was upset,( even though I did try to keep it under wraps ) we left within the hour. I did speak to someone about the situation but the moment was lost . They do a sweet and savoury hightea for x2 which I assumed we would get one of each as I had explained in my emails and telephone .conversations that is what I wanted . I really hope they step up and give me back a refund for 1 . As I paid for a service I didn’t receive.

Casual dining at it's finest. Superb atmosphere and fabulous food. We live locally and had visiting friends with us who were also very impressed.

We live locally so we were delighted to hear that this restaurant had opened up to non-residents. We had a lovely meal in a delightful setting. The service was friendly, informal but still attentive. We will be back!

Had afternoon tea twice at the Castle. Once pre lockdown and one at the end of June 2021. I can say both occasions were lovely. Nice food, great service and in beautiful surroundings. We will be back

Wonderful food in a lovely room with friendly attentive service. Hadn’t eaten mussels for 20 years. They were sublime. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The chef’s apple caramel cake was delicious. Altogether a memorable experience.

Given a Red Letter Day Tea we chose to spend it at Augill . It was a great success. Really enjoyed the afternoon. Great tea time experience. All the staff were v friendly and it was a lovely present. Rosemary
