Haven't enjoyed a restaurant so much for years! Food is top notch, ambience welcoming and makes you feel at home immediately, staff are good fun and efficient. A thoroughly joyful place. Went with a large party, pre arranged, and there were also another 30 people in another dining room. Service was impeccable . Martin has terrific sense of humour, well he must have in that job! Certainly a place to visit when you need an interesting and really good meal - and a good laugh! Well done. I shall be telling the world and return if only to apologise . Thank you

I've dined here many times and the food and service has been excellent. In fact I can't fault it, also they have kingfisher on draught for £3.60 a pint which is very reasonable for a restaurant.

Just returned from another visit to the Hand & Dagger inn. This place is top of our list for Sunday' eating establishments. A 2/3 course menu displays choices of starters, mains and deserts for an excellent price. Specials are listed on a blackboard. My partner opted for brunch starter consisting of black pudding, mushroom, poached egg and crisp pancetta on creamy mustard sauce followed by perfectly cooked roast beef with trimmings. I had a tasty chicken ceaser starter and the beef. My 8 year old opted for poached egg and black pudding special and was given the option of no mustard sauce and extra Chips which pleased him immensely. I was too full for a pudding but tasted my partners delicious bread and butter home-made dessert and it was fabulous. The place has a welcome feel, lovely atmosphere avnd the service is polite and excellent. The landlord remembers everybody and runs an excellent pub. You must go and visit but booking would be advisable it's a busy place on Sunday's.

We have been going to the Ashiana, since it opened. But we were disapointed, last Sunday. We were surprised to find we were the only ones in at the time. The Waiter warmly welcomed us.We decided not to go for the Special Sunday offer at £9.99 and chose off the Menu. As we were being shown to our table, some more people arrived. The Waiter seemed to change his attidude. Our meal was put down on to the table, no smiles just a straight face -The Special Naans were the worst we have ever tasted, hard around the edges, and hardly any filling, just coconut, no sultanas etc. And i must add, that i think, that the food should be served with a warming stove , on the table. The rice was in a cold china dish, and went cold. bothe our chosen dishes, had a tinned pineapple ring in the centre of the sauce, and mine with the exception of the chicken, hardly anything else, apart from the sauce. We wont be going again-ever. It has changed, not the usual quality, and friendliness of the staff. In fact we only saw the Waiter. wether they were having a bad day, i dont know. Or maybe we should have ordered the Sunday Special!

Not the best local chippy because we have been given the wrong order 3 times now and they refuse to change it so we ended up making something else for the kids! The fish is more batter than fish! The chips are to crispy and the pies are dry! For a local chippy I've heard loads said about it and sadly all bad! We've all been sick a day after eating there and feel it was from there food! I've told my friends and family about my experiences and told them to go to the one on freckleton street, there fish is lush and chip actually have potato in them and not all crispy! Just lush from the freckleton street chippy! I've rang trading standards about there attitude towards our 3rd wrong order and the money we wasted and feel customer service there is rubbish Local chippy no good Local chippy need to treat locals well Sad really but changed from the day they got new management in! Lovely food, but £6.50 for a pint of Kingfisher is simply ridiculous

We are regular customers at the Orathai Wrea Green. the food is always freshly prepared, the vastness of the menu leaving you uncertain as to which dish to go for (although i do recommend the sesame beef) the staff are always attentive asnd very friendly and the £5.00 curry nights wed/thur all year round make it cheaper to eat there than to cook your own at home...

Went to this Thai restaurant last weekend. We'd read the great reviews on here so decided to take a couple of friends there with is. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant itself is rather like somebody's front room and a bit dated but coupled with the front of house waiter, this just added to the charm. The food was lovely. My husband is vegetarian and a fresh tofu red curry was made for him, we all opted for various curries, all of which were delicious! I'd highly recommend the restaurant.

Distinctly average, eaten a few things from the chefs specials on their huge menu. Fairly priced, plus they have five stars scores on the doors which shines through in their food. Sometimes it seems though the food may be two or three days old and just reheated, which is annoying! Soggy peppers and rock hard water chestnuts have let it down in the past. Still, better than cfc, best bites, jononi balti, the Nile and the good fortune house.

Me and a Lady friend arrived at the pub on a hired narrowboat, we were given excellent service, then on our return trip 3 days later we encountered a problem with the boat and needed tools, the guy behind the bar found the tools at the pub, we fixed the problem and stayed for a meal, the Landlord is a really friendly and helpful guy. I recommend this for both the great food and the welcome. 5 star

Was tempted to try this pub by the two for one offer. Unfortunately the food really didn't live up to my expectation. I'm afraid I won't be going back unless it gets better. Audrey

Another lovely Sunday lunch at the Hand & Dagger. Only problem is I always seem to have the Roast Pork which is just too delish to ignore. Washed down with a nice pint of Black Sheep. Great value.

First found this place on Sugarvine and now go about every 3 weeks. Last went for my fathers birthday. I had scallops which were very good. Mother lamb shank which she enjoyed. Laid back place and a nice trip out from St Annes.

In all honesty, the duck was a little dry which disappointed me a litte (with me being ducklover123 and everything hehe). However, the BBQ spare ribs were cooked to absolute perfection; literally fell off the bone. Congratulations East Ocean!
