Very opulent surroundings and the food was OK, if a little overpriced. However the service was extremely poor and we will not be visiting again.

Chandelier By Mumtaz – Leeds City CentreJust as good as I remembered - tried the beer-battered prawns this time and was very impressed. Wouldn't mind a change from the standard "Spanish restaurant frozen desserts" menu, though.
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreI dined here and had the noodles and tried tofu for the first time and absolutely loved it!!!! This restaurant is lovely and is perfect for an express lunch or a leisurely evening out, give this gem a try and you wont be disappointed!!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Thai Edge Restaurant – Leeds City CentreI have been eating weekly at the Eastgate branch since it has first opened in 2003 and must say that everytime I have eaten there, it has been consistent. The food is excellent (best ever), service is superior and the price is fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough! Go and see for yourself - try the chicken nambali and lamb chops... how do they do it!
Akbars – Leeds City CentreOnce the best restaurant in Leeds by a mile... now distinctly average and absolutely SHOCKING service. Save yourselves a fortune and go elsewhere!!
Chino Latino – Leeds City CentreVery good food, good service, decent price. Would recommend this one
Akbars – Leeds City CentreThe best Thai restaurant in Leeds. Do not entertain Thai Edge and similarly over-priced, over-rated places. This is simply the best, from the opulent decor to the seamless service to the amazing food and all very reasonably priced for what you get. The bigger hotel chains tend to advertise Thai Edge, do yourself a favour and seek out Chaophraya instead.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreOver-rated and over-priced. Whilst the staff are very authentic and polite they lack the more informal social graces. One of those places people seem to want to be seen in, but not sure why. As I had heard good things I chose 1 of the most expensive starters, filet steak in chilli. It was awful, stringy and tough and almost a tenner. Nowhere near as enjoyable at Chaophraya
Thai Edge Restaurant – Leeds City CentreEasily the best kept secret in Leeds, so much so that I am a little loathe to sing its praises here! Amazing atmosphere, seems really authentic and so many unusual touches (bridge/seating which gives the impression you are sat on the floor etc). The food is outstanding and so fresh you can taste the outdoors! Try the ginger cheesecake it is outstanding. Great value too.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreRecommended for atmosphere, beautiful art deco surroundings and the clam chowder. No recommended for food in general, especially mediocre pizzas. Way over-priced for what it is and service friendly but slow. Also beware of over-charging on drinks.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreTHE BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE HAD SINCE COMING HERE TO LEEDS... THE FOOD HAS A SPECIAL BLEND OF SPICE AND SUBTLETY TO MAKE THE FOOD DELICIOUS...TRY THE BHUNA DISHES AND U WILL KNOW WHT I AM SAYING....GR8 PLACE FOR STUDENTS AND RELATIVELY CHEAPER THAN THE OTHER RESTAURANTS
Akmals Tandoori Bistro – Leeds City Centrei think this has to be probably the best Indian cuisine in the whole of the Leeds area, other places I've tried have awful service and their food is like card board, i strongly recommend this place for service and quality... don't look at the price because its worth it!
Pizza Base and Tandoori Place – Leeds City CentreJust held my wife's birthday meal on Saturday night. We had the whole venue to ourselves (20 covers) and paid £25.00 each for a 5 course meal, which was wonderful and the portions great. The whole place had a great buzz and the lads looked after us very well. A few member's of the public wandered in but were told it was a private party so it was just for us and it was great. This place is one of the best in Leeds and I hope it does well for the lads who have a vested interest in it. Food is second to none.
Old Steps – Leeds City CentreWanted to try this place for a long time and finally got round to it for lunch today. It certainly lived up to the excellent reputation it's garnered. Standouts were the black pudding starter, the calves liver and the lamb - all cooked to perfection. The authentic French staff added extra entertainment value too. A real gem in the heart of Leeds.
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreStopped in to try the Times "3 courses for £10" menu. Service was a little slow (felt sorry for the waiter, who was clearly run off his feet) but the food was delicious, especially the sausage and mash in sage gravy.
Browns Restaurant – Leeds City CentreFantastic venue and the food is amazing!!! I like to try the restaurants I find on this website and too be honest I never really considered eating in a hotel…so glad I did!! excellent quality and reasonably priced! I will be back, thanks for a lovely evening!
City 3 Restaurant – Leeds City CentreAverage food, tiny portions compared to the likes of Viva Cuba Disappointed and won't be back
La Tasca – Leeds City Centrewe came to your restaurant on Sunday 29th march and it was excellent the food, service, everything was brilliant. would recommend you to everyone, will be back for more.
Chez Mal Brasserie – Leeds City Centre
