Over more than three decades, Hansa’s in Leeds picked up a string of accolades for its home-cooked Gujarati vegetarian food. Named after owner and chef Hansa Dahbi, the eponymous venue added a cookery school, published Hansa's Indian Vegetarian Cookbook and even took their customers on guided tours to Gujarat and other parts of India. The restaurant is no more but the cookery school lives on running regular Indian cookery courses throughout the year. Classes generally start at 10am and finish with lunch but some additional classes run from 2.30pm-5.30pm.
