Had a great meal at Sandinista on a Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago. The food was excellent - we ordered a selection of 6 tapas dishes to share based on 3 per person and I couldn't fault any of it. In particular the meatballs and pork belly stood out. This is the best tapas I've had in Leeds. Its not 100% authentic Spanish tapas but its not meant to be. It was very tasty, great value for what we had and was miles better than what you would expect somewhere like La Tasca. The atmosphere was really cosy and our waiter (don't remember his name) made us feel really welcome and was helpful without ever being over fussy. Oh and I should mention that we both finished up with a dessert cocktail which rounded things off perfectly. If you have yet to eat here make it a priority. We'll certainly be back soon!

My Husband and I ate at Chaophraya for our 1st anniversary and it was incredible, like nothing I have ever tasted. The outstanding food was matched by impeccable service. I would definitely recommend Chaophraya for any occasion. There is also a Chaophraya in Manchester and it is equally as good.

Went here "on speck" on a Thursday night at 10pm. Quite busy but straight to a seat. It's a nice place and the tables aren't cramped together. Large choice of courses, I went for the chilli beef which was the best I've had. Nice starters, prawn toastc - lots of it and calamari - lots of it!! With two starters, two mains and two beers, total was £31.70. Top place, will definitely go again.

Visited with 4 colleagues for Christmas and was so good we went back in February. Had a wonderful time the staff and manager are great fun and nothing is too much trouble. The food is out of this world and can't wait to go again.

We went to Bibi's on mothers day at lunchtime, and there were 8 of us that included 2 kids. The staff were very attentive, but not over attentive, and made sure that we had ordered/received our food and drinks. All 8 of us had 3 courses, and something different, and one of us had the 3 for £20 special menu, and i can say not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was of a high standard, and i couldn't finish everything off my plate as i was sooo looking forward to having dessert!!! it was so well worth having the tummy ache from eating too much, and we all had a little taste of each others food for when we go back. the price was about right, it averaged at £40 per person, but we counted the kids as one as they had some things off the main menu instead of the kids menu, but no alcohol!!! you could spend £40 on 3 courses and a bottle of wine in Bella Italia!!! The large screen wasn't off putting, in fact the kids ( & one who shall remain nameless) were enjoying scenes from chitty chitty bang bang!!. I would highly recommend this restaurant, we are going back in 3 weeks for a joint birthday bash, and even though we don't live in Leeds, I have a feeling this is going to become our favourite restaurant. I will have to go back at least 5 more times to sample all the desserts i was fancying!!! service was excellent even though it was 3/4 full and would have no worries about going at peak time.

This is the one - best bar in Leeds (Yorkshire?!) by far! I love the northern quarter in Leeds but Sandinista is the pick of the bunch. The atmosphere is always wicked at the weekends - never fails to go off. Wicked tunes played to a really up for it, unpretentious crowd. Cocktails are top notch as well. Definitely one to check out.

Three of us went last night, no need to make reservations, the food was excellent and the profiteroles are to die for. One of the best restaurants in Leeds!!!

What can I say - this place is cocktails in Leeds - I had my birthday party in Boutique and the drinks were amazing - the cocktail menu is to die for and before I leave this planet I will try them all!! Obviously not in one night - coming back? - keep me out!!! Diane xxxxx

We arrived at 6.15pm on a Friday night to find the place already half full, when we left about 7.30pm people were starting to queue outside, so get there early as you can't book. The food is really good especially the chorizo in rioja and the spinach and potato omelette. We had 6 tapas and 2 rounds of drinks and it came to £35 which is very reasonable I think. The sangria could have been a little colder if I really really have to find fault but overall a very nice culinary experience and you can park in the Vue cinema's car park across the road.

These Dough balls are the best one's I have ever had. Mind you they are the only dough balls I have ever had. The boxes were a bit disappointing. Best thing is, i didn't have to pay. God bless corporate cards.

The quality and quantity of food was very good. The waiters/waitresses were attentive to our needs. Prices were good for what we received. Recommend a visit!

I found myself down here with a friend almost by accident when we were looking for vegan food when getting badly hungry. What a find!! The standard of service is up to the very best India has to offer (my visit reminded me why the Gujaratis are so easy to get along with), and a dal, in particular, ranks alongside the most exceptional I tried in India. Hansa can also make a wonderful, flaky puri. It's all veggie, and most of the menu is vegan. Even my friend, who isn't too keen on chilli, loved it. Remember, when tempted to fight over starters, Hansa's is dedicated to non-violence!

Akbars is without doubt the Indian place to eat in Leeds. Good food, Excellent service and very reasonably priced. Wine excellent value for money

Fantastic. Loads of choice on the menu, think I could of quite happily eaten anything and enjoyed it. The standard of food was excellent and the service very good. Would highly recommend. 9 out of 10.

Very convenient, excellent prices and lovely tasty food! I opted for the Wokon meal deal at only £6.49 which left me pleasantly filled up with a lovely taste in my mouth. Would highly recommend.

Nice little noodle bar by the station, specialising in japanese/thai dishes. Think I paid £5 for a pad thai, they cook it in front of you in a couple of minutes. You can eat in or takeaway, with one of those little square food boxes you see in Friends. Food was very tasty, beats burger king anyday. Eddie Halliwell was in there too so it must be good!
