Akbars – Leeds City CentreHad a fantastic pre-theatre meal at the Wardrobe this week. An interesting menu with a good balance of veggie/carnivorous. Excellent value for money, the set menu was £13 for two courses, and well worth it. Some good wines on offer and a great atmosphere - it was quite a feat to drag ourselves away to the theatre, we could have stayed all night!
Wardrobe – Leeds City CentreWe visited this place, on my birthday. I had the Moules to start with (which were cooked to perfection) and had the Venison with Parsnip & Sweet Potato mash for the main course. Fantastic. The best meal i have had in a Leeds restaurant full stop. The service was excellent (allowing perfect timing between courses) and the staff had a good wine knowledge. Recommended, worth the expense
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreJust been to Boutique to try their infamous Hollywood Burger, as reviewed in The Leeds Guide. Wow, the most delicious burger I've ever had in a bar, home-made, full of herbs, served in a fresh bun with loads of chips! I'd thoroughly recommend it!
Boutique – Leeds City CentreThe quality of service was excellent and our group were made very welcome. The tended to every need as and when it was required. The chef there has an excellent pallet and everything everybody had was cooked to an excellent standard. They also deliver to your office on a lunch time and delivery was free for us. The food was excellent again.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreAkbars ambience and service is excellent .Loved to visit this place.Enjoyed lamb chops and masala fish!!
Akbars – Leeds City CentreI have been to Thai Edge a few times simply because the food is fantastic. The staff are polite and attentive, not to mention authentic! The complementary crackers and chilli sauce they have waiting at the table only adds to the customer service. A smart modern interior with attention to detail, without any snooty atmosphere. Dress up, dress down, nobody is going to comment either way. I do have to say that the menu is rather pricey but if that doesn't bother you that much, go and enjoy.
Thai Edge Restaurant – Leeds City CentreThis is a no s*!t eating experience, just great, simple food that I've been eating since it opened, eight years? and happy to recommend to anyone. Its good value, fresh ingredients, utilitarian approach beats the competition into a wok. I always leave feeling healthy and satiated. Unlike other noodle bars the menu is small and unfussy and the service is very friendly and they are happy to cater for kids. My daughter has been eating there since she was in the womb.
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreThe best Chinese restaurant in Leeds by far. Everyone must experience this place!!
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreI took my boyfriend here for his birthday. I had never even heard of it before but after taking a look at the website thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did. It is without a doubt the best Thai food I?e ever had. I mentioned that it was my boyfriend? birthday, and about 10 of the staff came out with small instruments and sang happy birthday to him. They also brought him a free dessert and us both a free drink. It was slightly more expensive than we would normally pay for a meal out, but was more than worth it. We will definitely be returning. If you're unsure about where to go I would definitely recommend here. Try it... I have no doubts that you'll be glad you did!!!
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreFood is good - particularly the ploughman's lunch - but it's very overpriced for what it is.
Cafe Rouge – Leeds City CentreFood was really good, especially the Chilli Chicken and the Garlic naan Great to find a place that doesn? sell everything have made them my regular curry house, never been let down.
Cookys – Leeds City CentreQuite possibly the best front-of-house team in Leeds. Friendly, helpful (particularly when suggesting cocktails) and entertaining, I cannot commend them enough. The terrace makes for the best al fresco experience in the city centre and the staff offering sun cream on hotter days is a great idea. Not the cheapest place, but then if I wanted cheap beer and cheap company, I'd go to Wetherspoons. Seems to be one of those places that you stumble upon initially, but return to again and again. Try a Sunday Roast on the terrace for a hangover cure.
Lounge Bar and Grill – Leeds City CentreI go here for noodles a lot. It is so cheap and the staff are very friendly and it's a no-frills, down-to-earth kind of place. Oh, and the noodles are very tasty!
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreIt's about time wagamama came to Leeds! The food is really tasty and cooked with the freshest ingredients, the service is fast and friendly, and it's cheap too! It will definitely become a regular haunt of mine!
Wagamama – Leeds City CentreThis place is excellent - No other tapas place has even come close. Get there early as it's always busy but the food is excellent so it's worth the wait. I go there on a regular basis and has not once disappointed!
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreI have had my birthday meal for 15 people at this restaurant last month and also been for a meal with 3 friends 2 months ago and on both occasions the food was lovely and the staff are some of the most friendly in leeds. Also the tables have enough space between them to be not feeling like your sat on top of other tables. I would definitely recommend it.
La Vina – Leeds City CentreThis is a great place to go for lunch if you are shopping in town. The food is a cut above usual bar food and you can sit outside in Millennium square. Not badly priced and plenty of variety on the menu.
