Good food. Good atmosphere. Good restaurant!!
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreI have dined at the original Bibi's on Greek street several times and the food was always outstanding. The surroundings a little dated but still classy and the atmosphere outstanding. I visited the new Bibi's a couple of days ago and was totally blown away with the decor. The interior is of very high quality; the people involved must have spent a FORTUNE!!! Have you felt the weight of the main door? No expense has been spared here... Now the food, i have only been to the new one once and was a little disappointed, maybe the stunning interior raised my expectations of the food. It was ok don? get me wrong, but I felt my dish had been sitting on a hotplate whilst my partners dish was being prepared for a little too long. The service was outstanding, staff who were busy with other people still managed to fulfil our drinks requests and were always checking our wine levels and refilling where necessary. Good service is very important to me and Bibi's did not disappoint on this score. The only gripe I had with one of the waiter who I felt he was flirting a little too much with my partner! She enjoyed it though, so all is forgiven. Excellent, I just hope my food was a one off.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreBrilliant! food was gorgeous, didn't take long to arrive. Wonderfully decorated. Friendly staff too, and it didn't cost as much as I had expected. I got the wrong dessert but they were very apologetic and offered me another.
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centreexcellent selection of beers from around the world. good selection of real ales. Menu is varied and the burgers looked massive.
Foleys Tap House – Leeds City CentreBest Japaneese in Leeds! The sushis are great and inexpensive (£10 a full set of 12, unbeatable!!!), the huge ramens are very good (around £6), the starters (dim sum, ebi katsu, yaki tori...) are mouthwatering (about £3-£4) and you'll enjoy green tea for free. The ambience is "zen" and non smoking. The service is efficient, nice and so fast you won't believe it. Worth a try if you've never tasted this type of cuisine, you'll come back!!!
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreBrilliant Brilliant Brilliant!!! We keep trying others but nothing can compete & we keep on coming back for more! This place is heaven! Recently being extended which should cut down on the waiting times.... The food is authentic, fresh & cooked to perfection... The atmosphere is really buzzy, we have eaten here tons of times & every night has been brilliant! Keep up the good work guys
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreOne of the best place to dine when your in beeston leeds, food is very delicious, served very quick i have been going to this place for more than 10 years and it gets better !!!!!!!
Nazma – Leeds City CentreA very excellent Bengali takeaway and restaurant, well maintained, and the staff are amazing specially mr Angur Miah, who? hospitality I can never forget !
Nazma – Leeds City CentreValentines evening. Very nice place, wonderfully polite Thai people. Sadly we were pointed to the bar and received no service. Food was excellent. Reasonably speedy service on food. Very slow on drinks.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreBeautifully decorated restaurant, with a good menu. We went on a miserable wednesday night, and although rather quiet the service was polite but rather slow. The food when it did arrive was very pleasant, but did not quite live up to my expectations. That said, a thoroughly enjoyable night. However Sukhothai in Chapel Allerton is still my favourite thai restaurant, and my yardstick by which I measure all others. Not beaten yet.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreI've not been to any other Japanese restaurants, so I can't really compare, but it would certainly make me want to try other Japanese restaurants. I was pleased there was a choice (as I'd always been led to believe Japanese food was all raw fish!). The box meals are great, so filling. The decor was gorgeous too.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreThe starters are magnificent! I don't think the main course quite matches up but still good Chinese food.
Maxis – Leeds City CentreExcellent environment, traditional & cultural spirit outstanding food very good customer service
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreVery friendly and attentive service. The owner used to run the very popular Sukothai in Chapel Allerton and the same quality food and service is available here - good value lunches too
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreThose in the 'Bar World' knew it was only a matter of time before Jake finally opened a bar of his own, and hasn't he done well!! Although a somewhat self-indulgent self-named bar 'jakes,' the cocktail menu lives up to the high expectations everyone had. A fantastic variety of original cocktails- what Jake is known for- combined with perfectly made classics, ensure even the pickiest bartender (this bar is always filled with off-duty bartenders, I'm one of them!) is left sipping and smiling. One of the best bars in Leeds
Jakes Bar – Leeds City CentreAmazing bar that? worth the long walk. It has a relaxed vibe and cool staff and punters, just avoid the Jagermeister if you want to leave with any dignity
Sandinista – Leeds City CentreI am a curry holic - however this was simply the best cooked meal I have had. Fresh ingredients beautiful flavours friendly service - take it for what it is - home cooked food in a friendly environment and you can not be disappointed. If you are go back to the bog standards everywhere else. and leave the good stuff for us!!!!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreAbsolutely fantastic food. Now rates as one of my favs in Leeds. Skipped a starter and had the lamb chumps with walnut stuffing. Give me the recipe!! Attention to flavour is something else. Starters £6-8ish Mains are about £12-£15 depending on side orders. Good array of wines and beers as well.
