Good atmosphere Polite/friendly staff good service from the girls Manager quite unhelpful when we had concerns with 2 of the meals i.e no offer of a price reduction etc..... Several of the Mussels were unopen so dangerous to eat and he just shrugged our concerns off and the roast dinner the potatoes were hard as was some of the veg and the beef smelt off and again he shrugged off our concerns!!!!! We are a regular group of friends who visit at least once a month so expected much better customer service and will probably have difficulty persuading the 2 of our party to return if our concerns are not rectified in some way eg vouchers etc to spend if we return !!! We never even got an apology from the manager in charge that day Again one of the ladies who said she didn't want to pay for her roast dinner as it was so awful got no response from the staff and had to pay I look forward to your reply and offer of reimbursement of some kind Thank you

As usual an absolutely brilliant meal here! I’m trying to get away from the quiche but it’s hands down the best I’ve had! Lovely atmosphere, polite, attentive staff and always a pleasure to be at Tocketts.

Been many times and always return as food always excellent and the Staff also excellent.

Lovely place. Had a fabulous meal with friends a few weeks ago so thought I would bring family for a Sunday carvery. Big mistake. Carvery was fine but service totally let the meal down. Plates left on table for ages and took forever to get a second drink and dessert menu and then one of desserts was very dry/burnt at edges. When we left a child’s toy was left on table. We went straight back in but nobody knew anything about where it had gone. Such a shame as I was so impressed first time. Won’t be going again.

Excellent service and excellent staff

Tocketts is one of my favourite places to go for a carvery. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The carvery and early bird menu are very good value for money however the drinks and puddings less so. Won't stop me going but I won't be having a desert.

Large choice of food on the menu. Unfortunately it took a very long time for the food to arrive. We asked for the children’s starters to arrive at the same time as the main course but it arrived as a starter., Everyone’s main course arrived except a main course for one child. My husband said there were no prawns in the fish pie and not much fish. He said it and the vegetables were tasteless. The fish pie was a small portion. I had a burger. The burger was tasty and big but I didn’t like the chunky chips, they were greasy and soggy. The restaurant itself was nice. The chairs were comfy but unable to tuck them under the table as the table was slightly too small for 3 chairs on each side. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and looked very smart.

Went for early evening meal for anniversary after it being recommended by friends, and it didnt disappoint. Husband had jumbo fish & chips and i had the large portion which were both huge, fish so thick and flaky & chips were triple cooked & home made. We sat in conservatory which had lovely ambience esp on a warm evening. Would recommend to others and we will def go back.

This visit was for my husbands 70th birthday. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

We go here on a regular basis as we know we will always love the food, staff and ambience . Staff are very professional and warm, food is large portions and has a large menu for different tastes .. Can eat inside main dining area or beautiful glass conservatory, and outside ..

Early evening meal on Bank Holiday Monday. The location and surroundings are beautiful and being able to sit out on the sun terrace was lovely. The food let the experience down, The BBQ rack of ribs, the meat was dried out, very salty even before the over powering BBQ sauce. The fish & chips, the batter was very greasy and soft. But the homemade chips were amazing, who doesn't love proper (not frozen) potato chips. Service was good and atmosphere was lovely. Hopefully next time food may be as good as the atmosphere.

We had recently found Tocketts mill and enjoyed a lovely meal with friends so we decided to check out their Sunday carvery and it did not disappoint. Beef, pork,turkey and gammon on offer all beautifully cooked and tender. You could have a piece of each on request. Fabulous Yorkshire puddings and then a great variety of vegetable to accompany along with very tasty gravy. Standard price £16.95 and well worth it. If you can go xxl then you must have a big appetite. Staff were lovely with my 6 year old granddaughter and all very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back. They have a nice bar area too if you just want to have a drink.

Absolutely fantastic place, the food is excellent, the staff are lovely and you always go home full and happy.

Been here a few times over the last few years when down in the area, the carvery is the best I have had, really fresh and tasty and a generous portion of meat. All restaurant areas indoor and outdoor really pleasant, when u sat outdoors uou could be a million miles away, so relaxing. Staff are great, cant do enough fir you. We will defo be visiting again.
