Fantastic that good wine now resides in Yorkshire. We enjoyed the tasting, the tour and a lovely afternoon tea. The only complaint was the unusual wedding set up in the room we had our afternoon tea.

Holmfirth Vineyard – HolmfirthEverything about the Whippet and Pickle was spot on. Food, service and the style of the venue. Would highly recommend.
The Whippet and Pickle – HolmfirthWe visited the Fleece for Sunday Lunch. The food service presentation was outstanding. We shall definitely return again soon.
The Fleece Inn – HolmfirthRestaurant prices, cafe/canteen atmosphere.Food tastey, but no nice refreshing light options. Felt rushed and a big frantic. Not a relaxing experience. Wont go again
Punch Bar & Tapas – HolmfirthWent over the weekend had a wonderful meal, it was very busy, had to wait 40 mins for a table but it was worth it.
Massala lounge – HolmfirthEarly days. Some dishes were not available and other inferior options were offered and served. Very small tapas portions. Flavour was limited and the team have a lot of learning ahead if them. Pleasant service but ineffective.
Aldea – HolmfirthWish I could agree with the rest but unfortunately we have had better., just another typical indian who you would think after all these years would have perfected their food and service. I will say however as there is more competition they are actually trying now. Bit too late if you ask me.
Bengal Spice Restaurant – HolmfirthFamily reunion, family traveled from Leeds, Wakefield and Filey to meet our Auntie , Great Auntie and Great Great Auntie Ann (who lives in Honley ) 11 adults and 2 children 15 months and 8 months, brilliant service, fantastic food ,they even brought books and crayons out to keep Macey entertained ...Excellent ........... Menu excellent choice's This was our first visit .......but will not be our last Thank you Farmers Arms
Farmers Arms – HolmfirthWe have been this morning ordrered 2 breakfasts , waited 27 mins for it to arrive bacon (fatty) ,tomato not cooked ,sausages very salty ,egg looked like it had been through a wringer , Menu states 2 slices toast/bread so asked for 2nd slice waitress was outraged she said we have never served 2 slices so pointed it out on menu she said we have never been asked for or given 2 she did bring me another had to ask her for butter to put on toast. There wasnt a lot of customers but lots of staff who were standing about gossipping and talking to Chefs baby .very dissappointing
Brambles Bar & Cafe – HolmfirthMy calzone was ample and tasty. Mixed salad side-order went down well too.My wife's pizza was just as good. Food was hot and pleasantly served but the waiter was quite irritating. We would eat there again though.
Poppa Piccolino’s – HolmfirthWonderful food and always a friendly welcome. Even the bread is homemade.
Farmers Arms – HolmfirthLovely atmosphere, comfortable and friendly staff. Food is good and fairly priced. Evenings at the weekend lively but still chilled. Great coffee too if its just for a mid shop catch up
Brambles Bar & Cafe – Holmfirthhave been going to the fox for many years as passing trade on our sunday drives.love the food always good whatever we have.staff friendly efficient .design and presentation of food has evolved over the years and for the better .we now travel from oldham during summer months approx 40 mins drive .simply because we know we will get good food well priced and very edible have yet to research sweets never got that far yet yumm yumm.
Foxhouse Inn – HolmfirthEaten here a couple of times and every time the food and service has been second to none.
Les Caveaux – HolmfirthBeen going to the Fox House for 18 years, it is definitely not as good as it once was, the prices have soared and the food is nowhere near as good. Had the steak and ale pie last night, the pastry was burnt on the outside and undercooked inside and the chips were actually grey in colour . Will not be returning...shame as we really used to enjoy our visits there.
Foxhouse Inn – HolmfirthOrdered four meals.two were requested with tomato sauce, and got tartare sauce, one ordered BLT with grilled tomatoes, got tomatoes but not grilled and I ordered beef with blue cheese, but got a cheese which was definitely was not blue, more like melted cheddar, hey ho!!
Brambles Bar & Cafe – HolmfirthShambles at The Brambles! We visited this Gastropub on Saturday, 10 days after it opened. Lovely decor, good atmosphere, food okay, customer service absolutely atrocious. We waited 50 minutes for 3 sandwiches, 2 other tables in our section were served (20 minutes!) before us, and our drinks order was lost for 20 minutes! This would be forgivable if it hadn't been for the appalling attitude of the management. After waiting for 50 minutes my partner asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation. Instead of apologising and offering a solution, the manager (and owner we believe) adopted a confrontational approach and began to argue with us, telling us we'd been told about the wait (we hadn't!) and saying "well what do you want me to do about it?". In the end he grudgingly knocked 10 off the bill, but in no way apologised or made us feel valued. This shortsighted and commercially-suicidal attitude from management has also filtered down to waiting staff, who were either standing around or darting about like frightened rabbits refusing to meet our eyes! It's a shame because the elements are there to make a great eatery for Holmfirth. However after this atrocious example of customer service, this disgruntled foodie will be passing on to friends a very unfavourable review!
Brambles Bar & Cafe – HolmfirthAlways popular, smart bistro setting, fairly narrow menu choice, food is good quality, well presented. I'd like a wider menu choice and maybe a bit less of the posh bistro presentation to go with a slightly cheaper meal bill. Better value and variety to be had elsewhere locally.
Gemelli – Holmfirth
