Our trips to Whitby would never be complete without a trip to the Magpie, it’s a tradition and one the Magpie never fail to withhold. Splendid fresh fish dishes, the Oysters are to die for and the Halibut is just so tasty. All in all superb food in a super atmosphere. Thanks Magpie, we will be back soon.

Had a 45min wait for the food but it was worth it.

Delicious food and excellent service

Never miss an opportunity to eat out at the Magpie. Everything was amazing as always and the staff and service are fantastic. Until the next time, which hopefully wont be too long.

Excellent food. Freshly cooked. Service was superb. Try the calamari as a starter and lobster Thermidor for main. Simply divine. Great prices. A real treat during our stay in Whitby. Thank you.

Have been eating at the Magpie Cafe many times and it never disappoints us, the staff are always friendly and willing to help you make the right choice from the extensive menu.

Last visited here a few years ago and wanted to visit again for a birthday treat Wasn't disappointed at all, excellent food, waitress was exemplary and very attentive and an all round good night out. Pleased I booked well in advance as it was very busy.

Lived up to expectations, could not fault the service and food. Great varied menu. Well worth waiting for.

The food was gorgeous. Oysters are certainly the best, huge and juicy. Very friendly staff. Only one thing I’d recommend to improve: size of the tables. We could hardly fit our order on our table for two. I understand the issue might be cafe is too popular for making more space. But comfortable tables would make this place perfect.

Delicious and what a great menu. We brought our friends for early supper on Saturday and we had a fabulous time. Great views and great food. We will always return. Thank you.

We have known Oshibi for several years now and our family including kids have always enjoyed its excellent food, charming service and authenticity. We hadn't been for a while, so had two table bbq portions with bulgogi beef, chicken, spicy pork and seafood. Also some kfc (korean fried chicken) which you can't miss, and rice. It was all fab, fun and delicious. The dessert pancake and milk ice dessert were an adventure and delicious. Really pleased that Oshibi has survived the worst of covid economics. Go and eat there - its fantastic, local and a real gem.

Our server was very knowledgeable and welcoming. The menu and food were both brilliant. My only constructive criticism would be for the decor to be a little more inviting which is not a dealbreaker. I had a pleasant experience here and would definitely return.

Absolutely delicious food and great service.

Wonderful as ever! First time with baby buggy too. The staff were wonderful, helping us in and out of the elevator, and keeping the little one amused when she started to get bored

Love Korean food and this restaurant does not disappoint. Relaxed atmosphere. Korean BBQ and kimchi fried rice , my dinner makes and an enjoyable evening. . Will certainly return when visiting York again.
