The presentation was nice but the food did not match. Overall very disappointed, not one to go back to. I would give it a star rating of 1 out of 5

Tavistock Italia @ Best Western Highfield Hotel – MiddlesbroughFriends had given good reports from a while back, and the feedback on Sugarvine sounded positive - so off we went to Amigos on 10th April. We were very disappointed. The tapas we ordered were just average, certainly nothing special (eg shop bought tomato sauce on the patatas bravas) but the bill was far too expensive for an average meal (including over £7 for just two - yes, two - scallops). We had 2 G&Ts, 1 £16 bottle of wine and 7 tapas, which came to over £71 - all for a decidedly average meal. Oh - and the bread and small bowl of olives we were offered when we first arrived bumped the bill up by another £5 or so (it really bugs me when restaurants try to make extra money by charging you for items without making it clear up front). What a shame, we'd really hoped for better.
Dos Amigos – Headingley10/10 Had a meal on Sunday with the family and the food was lovely, service was great and its a cracking pub. Huge car park and colouring books for the kids so we could all enjoy our meal. Going again Friday tea time and cant wait.
Black Bull – WakefieldNot impressed! My husband booked 3 days in advance to get a 9pm Sat booking for a birthday meal for 2. However, on arrival were told that because a large party (who hadn't booked in)were late eating their meal they couldn't accommodate us - no phone call to cancel or anything. Called manager as staff suggested, to be offerred a free bottle of wine -I DON"T THINK SO!!! So, book if you don't mind risk of cancellation because larger parties take priority here!!!!
Nineteen Restaurant – YorkTerrible!! I never really expected a lot from Wagamama's, but after a depressing meal at this awful establishment, I feel that I must inform other innocent victims not to go there! I am a fan of fresh food and if you are don't bother entertaining the thought of frequenting this place. I ordered the ginger chicken udon noodles, the meat was obviously second cuts and really un edible. I recommend that you go to Tampopo or Fuji hiro they are both far better than Wagamama's could ever hope of being.
Wagamama – Leeds City CentreSpent a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable Sunday morning at the Frenchgate.....'fabulous Hot Chocolate (the best we've ever tasted!!)and beautiful surroundings, not to mention our attentive host, David......Thank you, we'll definitely be back soon.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondPretty much the standard chain restaurant. Good food, nice atmosphere, best for parties or when dining with teenagers. Good choice of food, not the cheapest but not expensive either.
Frankie and Bennys – HullLast night nine of us went to Dick Hudson's for an evening meal.We bought drinks and went to sit at the table. After we had ordered our food we were then told there was going to be a 40 minute wait.It was about 90 minutes when we finally were told that our meals were about to be plated and wouldn't be long. When the meals eventually came it looked as though some of them had been kept warm somewhere and were dried up. The corn fed chicken wasn't cooked and the meat was pink in the middle and the swordfish had been overcooked and was tough and chewy. Two meals were sent back so the others had all finished eating by the time the meals came back and again the swordfish was tough and chewy and the chicken undercooked and inedible. We got an apology from the waitress even though it wasn't her fault but we won't be going back there in a hurry.
Dick Hudsons Country Inn – BradfordThis place is a real find. Strikingly contemporary decor in the restaurant section gives a hint to the style and flair in the kitchen. The food was excellent. A simple salmon starter was absolutely delightful - who would have thought a cook could wring anything surprising out of that old favourite? I don't think there was a single thing on the menu that didn't look interesting or appetizing. It's a good 90 minute round trip from where I live, but I'm looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
The Dawnay Arms – YorkOne of the best meals out I've ever. The food was exquisite and beautifully cooked and all three courses were amazing. My dining companion has Coeliac disease, and so was particularly pleased by the number of gluten-free options on the menu, especially the deserts where GF options are normally lacking at other restaurants.
Bistro Saigon – IlkleyBeen visiting for over 20years still the finest Indian cuisine anywhere. Also eaten curry throughout the world, Tenerife, York, Manchester, Bradford, Lake district, Dublin, Bridlington, Sheffield, Scotland none compares! 10/10 everytime. Recommended Dishes...Chicken Tikka Pathia, Lamb Achari, Chicken Sag, Chicken shashlik, Mixed Kharai. Accompanied by the best garlic nan and mushroom rice. Washed down with the finest kept draught Carlsberg. We love you Ian,Vix family and friends
Raj Poot India Restaurant – WakefieldThis place is awful. Do not go. Do not be fooled by its idyllic location. The restaurant is dirty and the food is really bad. Service is by spotty untrained staff and the toilets don't seem to ever get cleaned.
Anchor Inn Brewers Fayre, The – SkiptonI went with my sisters last Friday and we had a fab meal. I have never tasted a chicken Tikka starter as good and want to go just to try it as a main meal. The host was lovely and very generous and friendly and I loved the building. Thanks for a lovely evening and the Baileys, wish I wasn't driving!
Jinnah Restaurant – HarrogateWhat a great experience! Beautiful decor and ambience. Food is delicious, especially the carvery as the staff have an excellent way of coping with the normal canteen style queue!! You are taken to the carvery by the staff when they are ready to serve you. What a refreshing change. Now child tolerant instead of completely child orientated, which is, in my opinion, a much better idea, as there are so many of these already available. Only problem here is that at the time of writing they do not provide high chairs. No need for hundreds of them but half a dozen kept out of sight would be appreciated by people with very young children. Although children's main meals are provided, desserts are full size and full price, pity about that! When we took our 21 month old grandchild he was provided with a piece of paper and a pencil to write on, as the barman could sense he was getting a bit bored of waiting! Perhaps a few crayons and paper could be provided, as in many other similar establishments. Overall, we hope to be regular visitors, as the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Thank you for providing such a wonderful eatery so close to us. Best wishes for your future success.
Highwayman, The – DoncasterAbsolutely AMAZING. I live in Dublin where great food is at every corner. The service is great, but its food that makes this stand out from the of the restaurant around Hull. My wife is from hull so i visit every so often and sample other restaurants but this really surprised me at how flavoursome everything was. Huge portions, the starters are possible the tastiest things I have ever put in my mouth. I know I might be going over board, but its the best restaurant I have ever eaten at.
Saffron Restaurant – HullWent for carvery lunch on Sunday 13 April, party of 14. Food was excellent, freshly prepared and hot and tasty. Atmosphere lovely, thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.
The Raggalds – BradfordI sampled a few of the dishes here and was completely blown away with the chef's talent, the food was amazing, you must give this little gem a try!! I would highly recommend that you eat here!!!
