We had a very nice time. The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious - cant wait to go again.

One of the best restaurants to go to in Wakefield City centre, however it is a little pricey for what you get in the end. Lack of competition from other restaurants allows the prices of this one to stay high. It would be good to see more top class quality eating establishments in the city centre.

Maxis Restaurant and Take Away are well worth a visit. The Restaurant is lovely, food great.The Take Away is open late and it's quality never fails.

Been here several times and I have to agree with the posts made below. There is a decent selection of food to be sampled and the majority of it is to a good standard. Go for the buffet option every time as you can have as little or as much as you like (Never understood why people opt for set menu's where there is the option of a buffet) Definitely worth a try. I must disagree with the comment raised that it is better than Eastern Court. This is equally as good.

this restaurant has been turned around dramatically we used to dine here when it was known as the jinnah we understand the Bradford based saffron desi has taken over and what a job they have done the restaurant is contemporary beautifully lit and the food is great the best we have had in a long time

We had a lovely 3 course meal in the restaurant a few months ago. quality of the food was very high, especially for the modest prices and the variety on the menu was excellent. One member of staff let the others down but overall the service was good and we had no complaints. will definitely visit again

I have eaten in this pub on numerous occasions and never been disappointed. The surroundings are good and the beer is well looked after. The landlord and staff are friendly and efficient. Try it yourself but leave room for me!

The Griffin Inn has been tastefully renovated and redecorated. It is now more restaurant than pub, but retains its bar area for the real ale drinker. Food is excellent with a printed core menu and a specials chalk board with a selection of changing starters and mains. Watch out for special event evenings, pie night on Tuesdays is well supported.

This has to be the best Indian in Leeds, just superb. The food is excellent, and the service is impeccable. You will not be disappointed. I? finding I? becoming addicted to this place! The quality of the food is exceptional whether I eat in or take away.

I went to Sukhothai last night after reading on this site that it has been selected as one of the best Thai restaurants in the UK. I am naturally cautious of such bold claims. All I can say is the Times have it spot on. This is by far one of the tastiest Thai meals I have had EVER, including meals in Thailand. The service is extremely good and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with artwork that showcases the beauty of Thailand and its culture. A wonderful restaurant. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

It is exactly what you want from a pub which does food, it is better than most and the portions are great. The mixed grills are very good value, and the Fish and Chips for a £5 are great. Good beer, nice people who own it even though I have not really spoken to them, get your selves there.
