Excellent Restaurant, friendly atmosphere and service and superb food with outstanding presentation

The first time I visited here was to have dinner with my friends for one of their birthdays, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was lovely and they were very obliging when I asked for help finding a dish that didn't contain onion, as im allergic. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

As a visitor from Aussie been there twice. Must book ahead even Tuesdays. very much a family country restaurant. Meals very good value and the chocolate dessert between 2 is fabulous. My cousins dine there regularly taking business friends .

It is a lovely, homely pub with very friendly staff

The Villa Marghertia is run by two fantastic couples and many of the village youngsters start off working here before going of to uni- it is a very friendly place with a good atmosphere. People in the village know each other and the staff! Julie, the head waitress, is very welcoming. Book for the weekend if you want to go as it gets busy. I particularly like the spicy mushroom starter, the rump steak or any pizza (all delicious) and the coffee...the ice cream portions are big! Give it a try and you will see what I mean.

We discovered the Sheesh Mahal one cold rainy night 3 years ago and what a find! We try and go at least once a week and have got to know most of the staff now. They greet you with a warm, friendly smile and you always feel like you are very special. What can I say about the food - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!! Dine at the Sheesh Mahal and I guarantee you won't be able to keep away. Its a Leeds treasure

Very good atmosphere. Staff attentive but very forgetful. Children? menu OK apart from someone? idea of an ice-cream sundae being a scoop of ice cream and a small bag of chocolate buttons. Salad inclusive with adult meal leaves a lot to the imagination, although a "house salad" can be purchased for £2.95 extra. Deserts were quite nice.

The quality of food was excellent and service was good. Will definitely be going again, and would recommend to all. I had the Jalfrezi dish which is a must! Also the King Prawn Butterfly...mmmm out of this world!

A unique place in Chapel Allerton, a bar with a bistro and when you're in the bistro, which is upstairs, you'd never think there was a bar downstairs because of acoustics are so good. It's perfect for weekend food before wandering downstairs for drinks. There's even jazz on Monday nights. There seems to be a few people who have the knives out for this place but I've no idea why. perhaps they'd be happier at the "in your face venues" or maybe they could drag their knuckles across the road to the Mustard Pot or the Hulats. Some of us appreciate a bit of class!

It is a brilliant pub, which welcomes everyone with open arms. The food is of high quality and the staff, are some of the best around. Most importantly it is a proper pub with real ale. really would recommend it.

WELL WORTH A VISIT

The landlady of the Arlington is the most accommodating landlady I have ever met, she knows how to look after her guests!

Popular, modern and very welcoming- a great restaurant to dine at, whether it be for an exciting Saturday night out, or a quiet Tuesday tea-time. Particularly friendly waitress and waiter; only adding to the exceptional atmosphere! Highly recommended.

Wow, what an excellent place! I was introduced to this by my (non-veggie) boyfriend a couple of months ago and we have been back 3 times since! I am a vegan and the food here is absolutely divine! It just shows though that my (previously cautious of my veggie habbits) boyfiend is happy to keep going back, as he says 'its just really good food, whats not to like!' Service was also prompt and friendly and the candles created a lovely atmosphere, ask for a table by the window for a view of the river when booking!

Simply the best noodles I have ever tasted, in fact the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. What a lovely restaurant, brilliant service in lovely surroundings, what more can I say.

this restaurant/pub is your typical bar meals with a few alternatives! we live close to here and eat here on numerous occasions! never had a cause for complaint! 8 out of 10 i would recommend it but if you want outstanding look elsewhere, but this is your better than average bar meals and staff are really nice! give it a try!
