Cookys – Leeds City CentreMy experience of Alishaan has been one of sheer delight. The Food is excellent, well presented, and wholly edible! The "starter for four people" is very expensive, and we always give that a wide berth. However, this should not detract from the price of other starters and courses which are of excellent quality and cost. It is been hard to find a Restaurant with such fine cuisine in the area; this is definitely one of the very best.
Alishaan Tandoori and Balti Restaurant – CottinghamWhat can I say.. This has to be one of if not the best restaurant in Haworth. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked hence the wait between courses. We sat outside on the terrace veranda during the hot summer month of July and this only added to the lovely ambience of the whole evening. At the weekend there is a limited menu which is a bit pricey but once you have tasted the food you won't complain. During the week the menu is more extensive with average prices and more food appealing to young children. Highly recommended!.
Embers of Haworth – KeighleyThe service at shimla spice was outstanding, mainly the food was mind-blowing, there is nothing like. The price of the food was very cheap. The waiters there were at our service at all the time and were very respectful. so i think you better go there and check it out for yourself.
Shimla Spice Restaurant – KeighleyPleasant surroundings and excellent food at a good price. Children? menu is extensive compared to other local public houses and service is good. With the main menu you are spoilt for choice with over 30 main dishes split into sections. You do need to book though as it can get extremely busy! but well worth it!
Dog and Gun Inn – KeighleyHave dined here on several occasions and used take away facilities (in a hurry). Every time the same report. Try it, you will be surprised
Kailash Tandoori and Balti House – DoncasterQuite possibly the best front-of-house team in Leeds. Friendly, helpful (particularly when suggesting cocktails) and entertaining, I cannot commend them enough. The terrace makes for the best al fresco experience in the city centre and the staff offering sun cream on hotter days is a great idea. Not the cheapest place, but then if I wanted cheap beer and cheap company, I'd go to Wetherspoons. Seems to be one of those places that you stumble upon initially, but return to again and again. Try a Sunday Roast on the terrace for a hangover cure.
Lounge Bar and Grill – Leeds City CentreI go here for noodles a lot. It is so cheap and the staff are very friendly and it's a no-frills, down-to-earth kind of place. Oh, and the noodles are very tasty!
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreI have now visited this restaurant twice and both times had an enjoyable evening. The food is extremely well prepared and there are a good range of creative dishes. Prices are average and therefore value for money is as good as I've found. There was also live music on the Friday night and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. Staff are engaging and efficient, without intruding on your meal and the head chef also takes time to talk to customers. Overall I would highly recommend seeing for yourself.
Ate O Clock – YorkIt's about time wagamama came to Leeds! The food is really tasty and cooked with the freshest ingredients, the service is fast and friendly, and it's cheap too! It will definitely become a regular haunt of mine!
Wagamama – Leeds City CentreTried the new Jino's last week out of curiosity, as we have been regular customers of the Headingley cafe. They've really hit the mark with Guiseley. The same gorgeous food without the hassle of BYO. The wine list looked good (some bottles under £10) but we were more interested in the Thai beers which took us right back to our holiday in Koh Samui! Nice to have a choice of venue serving the same gorgeous food (the best in Leeds by my reckoning!) each with their own unique atmosphere and both good value for money.
Lanna Thai – GuiseleyI never really liked Indian food until i sampled the cuisine at Raja's. Since then i go back on a regular basis and no Indian restaurant matches. I have got to say it is the best in the world!! The waiters are very friendly and always have a smile on there faces.
Raja’s – RoundhayWe travel from Sheffield to eat in this place. What more can one say?
Polash Tandoori Restaurant – PudseyWe went to the Caddy Shack for Sunday Lunch with the in-laws. It's a Golf themed bar in Elland with a great outside area. The food was simple and good value (£4.50 for a good sized roast and £5.75 for a super-sized version). There were lots of locals who seemed to be coming in for a hangover cure roast dinner/ pint and to catch the sport on the screens. Perfect. Apparently the place has been taken over by new owners, who seemed very friendly and enthusiastic.

I agree with the other reviewer. A year ago this place wasn't much to write home about but these days I'd consider moving to Lightcliffe just to make it my local! The staff are friendly and the food is really solid home cooking at its best. I especially like the carvery (which I don't normally go for in other places) as it is all fresh and good quality. A gem!
Sun Inn – HalifaxThis place is excellent - No other tapas place has even come close. Get there early as it's always busy but the food is excellent so it's worth the wait. I go there on a regular basis and has not once disappointed!
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreMy friends and I eat here very regularly and are never disappointed. The food is really good - it is the only place I've eaten in that does king prawn dishes justice (I don't agree with the other assessment of only 5 prawns - never had this) and the lamb is gorgeous too. In our opinion it is better than any of the 'big name' curry places in Bradford. Excellent food and superb service.
